WE have PS for Beautgy and the Beast at 6PM, and a surprise boat trip to see the Wishes Cruise, thanks to the DIS and BadgerBrent!!
MGM, not an EE day, but crowded nonetheless. (did I mention I once again couldnt wake up the despondent dh or the night owl dd?!) Our first stop was at Guest Services to obtain the handheld captioning and the FM Assitive Listening Device. And then off to my favorite ride - the Great Movie Ride. Now I see all the ESPN people, and I thank my stars that the Boys arent with us. I did manage a fast pass to Indiana Jones, knowing it really wasnt necessary as its a huge theatre, but dd wasnt about to do TOT or RNR and that we werent going to force on her!! We walk on the movie ride, and dh loved the hand held caption device, then over to Muppet 3 D I think we got the reflective captioning after we sat down. Then star tours, yep we forced DD on this ride... there was no line for heaven's sakes, its not a ride really, more like a movie that shakes your seat... we pull her on, buckle her up, and she was crying and pulling... and yep she loved it, wanted to do it again. Me on the other hand was quite clammy and shaken, I declare Never again!! LOL
Indiana Jones, it began to pour... luckily the show went on, and it stopped when they pulled back for the next scene. We ate at the ABC Comissary, and as reported, not good, but it was a voucher, and it was worth it! (barely) At 5:15 ish we head over to Beauty and the Beast, I walk up to a CM, and was informed the last show was at 4:40 - and our names were on the PS list, I wanted to cry, it wasnt his fault, I wasnt going to say anything, it was a computer glitch, and we could get another PS for another day (but I didnt have my schedule with me, I knew Mon was all PS for the Animal Kingdome, and Tues I thought it was a Typhoon Day, but I was so upset Dh mentioned as I solemnly walked away I could've demanded anything and Jason would have given it to me - oh he did say he could get me into Fantasmic, I looked at the sky and said that would be cancelled too (and it was) we went to guest service to hand in the captioning devices, mentioned the Backlot Tour Handheld Device talked about the old ride with the Golden Girls house etc... ooops Then I mentioned Jason offered up a PS for Fantasmic, and we booked a new PS for
Beauty, he took our names, and told us to stop in there to get the PS for Fantasmic.
AS we get on the bus, it begins to pour, and in sheets, the rain and the thunder were loud!! Will the wishes boat tour go on? Well I tell dh of our next surprise, and I don my lime green shirt, and lime green glow necklace and look for someone else in green, thinking to go up to strangers are you Badger Brent? Dh lets DD swim... and sure enough I find the group... as of yet we're not sure, but the sky turned clear... and we were good to go! We sat up front, and across from us was a family from South Carolina (I believe) we hit it off, their 2 boys were a bit younger than ours, but they are a SCOUT FAMILY!! He is a woodbadger -and dh tells of his misfortune with the water logged laptop with all his info for the course... again, it was an amazing coincidence, and I thank Badger Brent for allowing us this adventure!! The boat came so close to the MK we could hear the music, and see the sights!!
As we returned to the room, one last time dh gets out his laptop (and did I mention he never once looked at me with daggers, never once blamed me? He gave it his best shot to have a good time, he called the people who were depending on him, and they told him to relax and enjoy his vacation)
IT Worked!! It finally booted up, and dh had a good night's sleep!!
Tomorrow Animal Kingdom... it is EE day there, but we have the 4 PS booked... and did I mention how HOT it is???
