Got home today to find a big give on the front porch. It is from Elizabeth in TX. I am just going to say even though you have never met DD you have her taste pegged!!!!

I promised Mindy I would post pictures of the kids with the items after the trip because of us not telling them when we are actually leaving. But I am going post them as I open them too. I just need to know how does one actually put a photo in a post without a url?

HOW TO POST PICTURES
Method 1
1. Upload the pic of your choice to photobucket
2. Resize the pic in photobucket click on the thumbnail of the picture, it will open up, then click (above the pic)> resize > 15" screen- it will make you verify that you would like to resize the pic (I like the 800X600 size pictures instead of the message board setting, it shows lots more detail)
3. After the pic has resized, go to your album, below the pic that you would like to post, there are 4 different codes (email & IM, direct link, html code & IMG code) Click in the box that has the has the IMG code. It will look something like this http: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
When you click on that box, it will light up in yellow, and say "Copied"
4. In the thread on the Dis (in another open window), click on "post reply". When you are ready to post the pic, right click - a box will open, click on paste. This will paste the link that you copied from your photobucket account.
5. Post reply. The pic should show up!

Method 2
You can also post pictures directly from Facebook and most any other website you have your pictures posted too already:

1.)Right click on you picture,
2A)If you are using Firefox: click, on the option that says "copy IMAGE location" (do NOT click the one that says "copy LINK location" or the one that just says "copy image" they will not work)

2B)If you are using Inernet Explorer click: Properties, then copy the image location information. You must copy the part that says "address (url) that has the http:// at the beginning and the .jpg at the end. This is usually NOT the first one listed on the properties page.

It must look something like this: http:// sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/ hs452.ash1/24894_382437053159_677208159_3918266_2650_n. jpg

NOT:
24894_382437053159_677208159_3918266_2650_n. jpg (which is the first one)

3.)Then, for either one, paste that into the little picture linkie thing up there at the top of your reply box (here on the Disboards).

Yesterday our mail carrier knocked on our door at 6pm to deliver our mail. No idea why she was so late but there were 3 big gives in the mail. Thank you all so much!!!

The first one was from LLaxton. Thank you so much for the gift card. We will put it to good use and post a pic of what we purchased!


The second was from wdwmickey. The scrap book is amazing, you are very creative! It will be an awesome way to remember our vacation.

The third was from Cogero. The shirts are amazing and my DH was speakless about the Link shirt. He had no idea I had been asked about him too. He thought it was just for the kids. I will sneak a pic of him in it.

So a quick update at just a mere 24 days away. We are pretty sure that DS knows we are leaving sooner rather then later for his Wish. But he is being a great sport about it and not trying to "tell" his sister about it. While some may think it is crazy that a non-verbal child can "talk" to another child, to us it seems much like the way twins communicate.

We aren't going to be silly and ask him if he knows we are going soon though.

I am still but at least now I am not the only one. DH is getting very excited too.

Today I am speechless, 3 big gives came today. You all are amazing. This trip is going to be the best time ever!

Glast1 - I didn't sneak a peak at what you sent since they were wrapped. We will have the kids open it once we get on the road. Thank you so much!

Effervescent - First don't worry about the tag, half the time I have to cut them out anyway. I didn't unwrap yours either so everyone will have to wait until we get home from the trip to see them. From what I could see through the wrapping they look fantastic. We will definitely put them to good use. Thank you so much!

Yesterday was the day for Big Give. Our UPS driver stopped and dropped off TEB173's package.

Thank you so much, the kids are going to love the activities during the drive. You are so thoughtful.

We will be at MVMCP on Dec 16th. We will be in our matching t-shirts! And DS's wheelchair is hunter green. Please look for us!! We should be easy to spot.
