Wishing for Le Cellier

We were planning to do a February 2012 trip. Had starting laying things out, tinkering with a basic plan, etc... and then, my wife got a wild hair about going in October.

It makes sense. Our youngest child will only be 4 months old - a perfect age for riding in a carrier while we chase his two older brothers (ages 2 and 4 at the trip) and deal with the potential snarkiness of his oldest brother (13) and only sister (15). Yes, we have five kids. One more, and we're our own grand gathering! :rotfl:

October lets us do a MNSSHP, which is a first for us. Prices and temperatures are good. Later on, and the baby is older and needs more attention... limits what mom can do.

I'm not terribly worried about dining, but after our last trip, DS13 has decided that Le Cellier is the single best place to eat on the planet. Naturally, there is not one ADR to be had for any time (lunch or dinner) on October 6th though the 15th.

I figure that I will call every day - perhaps twice a day - to see if I can stumble into a cancellation. Once we get to the World, I figure that I'll still call... we might get lucky.

In the meantime, I suppose that I need to prepare him for the probability that we won't be doing Le Cellier this time; it's not like we can walk up.

You MIGHT be able to walk up. But it's by no means a certainty, especially with such a large party, so if it will disappoint the kids to be turned away be careful with it.

Remember if you get an opening that you have to count ALL the kids, including the baby, on the ADR! So you are a party of seven.

How many are you? I see availability on October 7th at 11:40am for 4.

I feel your pain. To paraphrase Dory: Just keep tryin', tryin', tryin'......:rolleyes1

Yep, I will indeed keep trying.

Thanks for the point about my party size - I learned this on our last trip. Even though the baby will only nurse, and isn't big enough to take any sort of seat, he counts.

Will keep looking, thanks!
