Wishes question?

On the Tomorrowland Bridge do you get the full view of everything? I'm just trying to figure something out... my daughter (who's taking a newbie) wants to ride rides while Spectromagic is going on while we're there. I'm sure everything will be filled up for watching the parade by the time Spectro is done. Another question.... can you ride rides during Wishes? We want to see it from the park but thinking about returning a night that Spectro isn't running for that purpose. Something to think about.

Yes anyone can go to the Poly's beach to watch Wishes. We went last year on our first night in WDW and sat on the little outlook/hill to the right. There were only two other people there that we saw. You can only hear the music faintly but the show is beautiful since you can also see the reflection of the fireworks in the lake. You can't see the light parade from there though.

Our first time seeing Wishes was on the bridge to Tommorrow land and I didn't think it was good. We did see Tinkerbell closely, but a big tree was blocking most of the fireworks for us. We saw it the next time near Main Street and it was much better, I thought.

There is about a 30 foot span on each side of the bridge that completely clears that tree so u have to get there ealry enuff to be free of it. I was even able to film the entire show with the castle in the frame. I just can't stand getting stuck in throngs of people so the tland bridge offers a good alternative. Many tour books tell their readers to keep this spot in mind in order to comfortably enjoy the fireworks away from the crowds. The other nice things about this spot is that if there is a 2nd parade and hour left until the park closes, you can turn right back into Tland and ride Space Mountain a couple of times with no wait.

.02 cents in the bucket

we could see if from our room at the GF, but without the sound.
Down below us I could see that they had set up speakers for people watching outside.

So can anyone tell me about seeing wishes at GF? Where is the best place and can anyone go there?

Also how do you get to Poly beach or GF from the MK (from outside the MK)?

Watching Wishes from California Grill just isn't the same as being in the park with everyone else. You get a great view of the fireworks, but the sound isn't that great. Being in the park hearing Jiminy narate is the way to go plus you get a better sense of the story they tell and how well it works with the fireworks. It is one of DW's favorite things to do in MK!!

We watched Wishes from the Tomorrowland Noodle Station seating area. Tink flies right over your head....my kids were in awe, it was a great spot IMO.

You can just hop on the monorail to get to Poly.

Just last week we ate at Cali Grill and the food was great and we had a table right by the window :teeth: WE could see the castle and we also saw the Electric boat parade I think is what its called :confused3 Anyway a lot of people in the restaurant went out on the observation deck and watched the fireworks. It was the best view I had ever had and you could actually hear the music unlike on Mainstreet :p

That's great and all...but we won't be going to the MK the night they are doing Wishes. From what it looks like (I could be wrong)...but were arriving on a Wed around 4:30pm...and planning on going to the parks on Thursday and Friday...both of which are MNSSHP days...so from the looks of it Wishes is ONLY scheduled on Wed. I could be wrong...and I hope I am...I REALLY wanted to see wishes in the park...I agree (although I've never seen it from ANY spot) the atmoshpere in the park has to be magical. I'm not willing to pay for a whole day's admission to MK just for a couple hours inorder to see wishes up front....so unless they are doing it on MNSSHP nights..are only option is outside the park. I think the beach sounds wonderful...and a nice way to kick start our vacation...now I just need to pick a place to eat that night. We were thinking of Whispering Canyon Cafe....but that's at WL...I'm soooo new at this WDW thing...that I don't have a clue as to how long it will take to get from one resort to another using the disney transportation...So we may be better off picking a restraunt near the beach. Any ideas?

For our Sept. trip we're considering leaving the MK a bit early for a 6pm PS at Kona (in the Poly), eating in an hour and then walking out to the Poly's beach to watch Wishes at 7pm.
Kona gets a lot of praise on these boards, from what I've been reading.
