My group of 11 has an 8:05 ADR next month at Chef Mickey's for the last night of our trip. We were originally planning on watching Wishes (starts at 10:00) from the Contemporary observation point on the 4th floor but I was wondering what other options we might have.

I don't know if we will have time to get over to MK in time to find a spot or if the Polynesian beach is a viable spot with whatever construction might be going on.

Any other spots anyone can reccomend given the timing of everything?

I appreciate any ideas you guys have and all the valuable insight I've been able to get browsing these boards so far. :worship: Thanks Disboards!

You can watch from the FW beach, but the view is obstructed.

I understand the TTC has a good view from near the ferry loading area.

Go upstairs (and spend money) at the California Grill. They have an observation deck that is small and will be busy. You need to be a customer of the restaurant.

Narcoossee's deck at GF is outdoors and you do not have to dine at the restaurant.

The Poly beach is reported to be a mess. Skip it.

Or spring for a Wishes cruise or a Pirates and Pals Wishes cruise. Expensive. I don't know details on timing.

You can see the MK fireworks shows very well from the TTC
and they pipe-in clear, crisp audio from the show.)
Note: you are not allowed to stand directly in the actual Ferry loading area.

You can see them from the boat-dock and an outside
observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the
Grand Floridian. Anyone can stand on Narcoossee's Deck.
The outside deck is not a part of the actual restaurant. (All serving is done inside.)
The deck is accessed from the sidewalk outside the restaurant.
Also, good viewing from the Patio overlooking the Marina.
The sound of the show is piped into these areas too.

At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor
observation area on the 4th floor.
The California Grill observation areas are reserved for patrons that day of the Grill or Bar.

(Fireworks shown above are simulated.)

At Wilderness Lodge, the "secret place" to watch the MK fireworks is from the northern area of the Cast Member (CM) Parking Lot.

At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Marina (angle shown on the map below,) some of the view (especially of the "Fantasyland" pyro) is blocked by the now unused Discovery Island in Bay Lake and by the high-rise buildings of the Contemporary Resort.
But, the view from the Ft. Wilderness' sand beach (farther north) is more open.
Still the tree-level can block the views of the lower-firing pyro.

Here are the angles of the views in the Bay Lake area.

With a large group eating dinner, and an ADR of 8:05 pm ( chances are high you won't get seated at that time) eating, character interactions, photos, etc there is a good chance you will be very near the 10 pm time when all is done in the restaurant. I would opt for the 4th floor observation deck to watch.

As Ruthie says above, I would agree, your original plan of 4th floor observation deck is by far your best choice. The timing and logistics are not in your favor for several other viewing locations around the lagoon.

^This. I agree. Robo your maps are the best. We had planned to watch from Poly after Ohana ressies but not anymore with construction. Our plan is to walk over to TTC and watch but I wasn't sure where the view was from so Thank You! OP I agree with everyone else. I would plan for the observation deck. If you manage to get out of CM's with enough time you could explore some of the other options but that observation deck is going to be your best bet.
