So our plane arrives at 1:40pm in MCO. If all goes according to schedule I would really like to see Wishes that night. We are staying at POFQ. About what time do you suggest we get to MK to see the fireworks? It's at 9:00pm on that night.

I would head for MK as soon as I was settled in at my resort. Maybe catch a few rides, a show, or dinner. It is going to cost you a days ticket, so why not take advantage of the day there.

I personally don't like to go our first day. We are all tired and there are plenty of other things to do. We like to go for a monorail ride, walk around the resorts along the monorail line and do a little shopping. You can also watch the fireworks from the Poly beach or from many other locations along Seven Seas Lagoon, for free.

I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, but my flight arrived at 7pm. The park was open until 11pm with EMH until 2am. I look forward to getting back to the MK every time I leave it. You should arrive at POFQ about 1.5-2 hours from the time your flight arrives. Don't rush, get settled and head over around 530-6ish. Ride your fav's and find a great seat for wishes.
My flight was late, luggage took forever(rented a car), but luckily there was no line up at POFQ to checkin! It was 845 by the time we got the luggage in the room and I needed a change of clothes after a 12hour travel day. Wishes was at 9 that night so needless to say we missed it, but were able to see the second parade that night at 10pm. It was just great to be back at the MK. Hope your flights are on time and the weather is great!
ps It's was a short ride on the bus to the MK and the busses were excellent for us from the 4th-11th.
