They are just covered. I dont see FP returning though. Guests tend to self-regulate the area fairly well, there's no reason to increase operational costs by staffing entry points
I was SHOCKED when I read that the last day was May 12th! While the pyrotechnical show is beautiful, its always been about the music for me and the story Wishes tells. It is the epitome of what Disney is to me. Its like Disney is ripping away how they define themselves.
I am admittedly a traditionalist. However, we can't stop change. I am willing to give the new show a chance, but I doubt whatever music choice they make will as clearly articulate what Disney has been to me all my life.
I love Wishes but I'm excited to see new Fireworks.
It'll be after my May solo trip so now I'm really trying to figure out how to go over Memorial Weekend when Pandora opens so I can see the new fireworks too.
I have an AP and I'm determined to use it lots. LOL
Why bring fastpass back for this show? Anyone is able to watch from the hub grass now, and it doesn't provide any better view. At most it prevents 200 people from booking a 4th pass.

I enjoyed getting a FP for it so we could show up 15 min before the show and have a perfect spot. Plus it was a nice spot to be able to sit and enjoy.
It was a lot better having it as a FP vs camping out an hour plus for the same view. And a free option because we would never pay the money they want for the dessert party

I hope they don't bring it back either. The last few trips we've just wandered into the old fp area at the last minute and there is still lots of room to sit and relax. I get the sense that some people don't go there because they think they still need a fp.

I do the same thing, which is why I don't see the point of bringing it back. Honestly, it was more crowded most nights with FP than it is now.
Fireworks viewing is tricky - there's often a ton of empty space but you can't see it from the outside. I never camp our for fireworks, and I can always grab a good spot in the hub for them just before they start.
