What a year we picked to go. In October we'll have Pandora, RoL, Disney Springs (all new for me) and a new nighttime show at Magic Kingdom.

I agree. I'm kind of glad now that I changed from 3 nights at MK to 3 nights at Epcot. As long as they don't touch Illuminations!!!

I just said that in another thread. I'm not even about thinking about Illuminations when planning Epcot days anymore because we've seen it so many times, I don't really care if we watch it again this trip.

Time to load up the car and see it one last time! I hope the new show still captures the "magic" like Wishes did. The previews that are out look really impressive. Sad to see Wishes go, but looking forward to seeing the new show!

I love Wishes. Sad to see it go. Almost get teary-eyed when it goes on when I am with my DD. However, I am open to change and it is just one more new thing to enjoy in June.

When DH told me the news this morning, I was heartbroken. I really wish we could go see it one last time since it's probably one of my favorite things at WDW. But at the same time, I'm really excited to see the new show and can't wait to see it in October.

I generally rail against change when it comes to Disney...but the shows are one place that I'm all for it. Every 10 years, minimum, they should be changing all the fireworks/nighttime shows, the stage shows. Keep things fresh, and encourage return visitors. I adore Wishes. I adored MSEP. I adored Fantasy in the Sky. Hopefully I'll adore whatever is next.

I also hope this new show makes up for the missing nighttime parade at MK (or they finally announce a replacement for that). I agree with those who said Illuminations is desperate for a change, but I doubt they'll redo it until they've announced and begun the overhaul of Epcot, so that the new show fits in with whatever them/direction Epcot will be taking on.

ETA: One of my favorite WDW memories is holding my DD as she sang along to the song in her little girl lisp.
