Wishes every night! July 19 to August 2 (Updated: October 17)Completed

Weather: Sunny 93F

Now that morning we had ressies for "Tusker House". But we were so exhausted the night before, that we did not want to get up early to head on over to the Animal Kingdom.

So we made a group decision to cancel it.

That morning, as I woke up, I decided that I'd be in the Magic Kingdom by 10am. I had a plan. I was going to meet Tinkerbell!

So we headed down to the Contempo Cafe, had a quick bite of waffles and adult platters.

We then walked to the Magic Kingdom. It was around 9:45am when we left.

When we got to the Magic Kingdom, I really didn't feel like walking all the way to Toontown. I suggested we take the train there.

My dad was psyched! He loves the train!

By the time we got to Toontown, it had been open for a few minutes.

My parents went to shop inside the big store they have there, and I got in line to meet Tink. The wait was already set to 60 min.

And yes, that's what it took.

I finally got to the Fairies area.

I was let to a "tree" and was told a fairy would come and get me.

Silvermist came to get me. She was really cute.

Then I met my girl: Tinkerbell.

I was wearing a new Tink t-shirt that I got at Tren-d. She loved it!

She asked me who that gorgeous woman was. She was great. With the attitude and all. I could not have asked for more!

And after that, I met Fawn.

After that, I walked outside to find my dad. My mom had gone to shop on Main Street, and we were going to meet her at noon.

So my dad suggested we do a ride. We went on Big Thunder Mountain since it said the wait was 30 min.

Well it was NOT! We waited more than 1 hour to get on. And it was stuffy in the queue. It was bag. We were hot, and felt miserable. I looked so miserable that a little guy, probably around 6 or 7, who had a fan mister, asked me if I wanted to use his fan. hahaha So cute!

Well after the ride, we went back to meet with my mom. Wow we were 30 min late.

My dad had had enough, and wanted to go lay down. He suggested my mom and I stay for a bit, but we were hot and tired.

My parents started walking towards the hotel, while I went back to the bakery to get a frozen latte. mmmmm so yummy. But they don't put whipped cream on then anymore :confused3

On our way up we grabbed some lunch at the Contempo. We got salads and flatbreads.

We brought them to the room, and I plugged in my portable DVD player and we watched "Bolt".

In the afternoon, my mom and I went to shop at the stores at the resort.

I bought my bff's kids an Ariel doll, and a 2nd dragon for the little guy. I wanted to buy him the same amount, you know. I also got 2 pens, and a Mickey Towel that was 10$ with 30$ worth of merchandise, I think?

We also went to mail my mom's postcard. And it seems they have no clue how many stamps to put on postcards. They had to ask 3 cms, and were not even sure. They made my mom put a lot more than they told me. What's the deal?

I was a bit upset to find out mine would maybe not get to the recipient.

We then went to grab dinner for the family. We had a flatbread, a burger with house chips, and marinara pasta.

We watched a bit of tv, and decided to send the gifts to my BFFs kiddies.

My mom and I then walked around the resort, and left my dad alone a bit so he could rest.

We then made our way upstairs and went to bed.

Aww too bad you didn't go to Tusker House, we lovedddd that breakfast.

Great pictures with the fairies, they came out so cute!

We had been to Tusker House last year. We did enjoy it. But we didn't feel like going this time.

Thanks! I love that pic with Tink full length. I look ok in it :)

Great pics with Tink!

I like the one where she is 'mad'! LOL

We had to miss our Tusker House ressie in March because I had to switch our park days around. We aren't making it there this time either.:sad2:

It's a good restaurant. And since we normally do mornings at AK, we liked it last year.

We just were too tired to wake up early this year lol

Weather: Cloudy

That morning was a lazy morning. The room was really quiet, so I slept in. I finally was able to drag myself out of bed around 10am.

My dad still in bed, and my mom was getting ready.

My dad had a headached and wanted to stay in the room today.

So after a while, I took a bath and got ready. I went to the Contempo, and ate a bagel and a banana.

My mom and I wanted to let my dad rest, and we didn't want to stay in the room.

So we went back to Dowtown Disney.

The bus we got on was FREEZING!! And I mean I almost had icycles in my nose!

It was aweful!

As usual, we stopped at the Polynesian and Typhoon Lagoon on the way. Let me tell you. When the doors of the bus opened at the Marketplace, we ran out of there!

We wanted some heat! And it took about 10 minutes for us to stop being cold.

We decided to head towards World of Disney. On the way, my mom stopped for a smoke break while I went and looked at the pins. I bought a Special Edition "Bride" one, Port Orleans Riverside, Minnie and Daisy BFF(for my bff Elizabeth), and one you can spin and figure out which park you are going to.

After that, we finally made it to World of Disney. We decided to buy more gifts for family and friends. I bough a pen and pencil case for my friend(who's also a colleague)'s daughter. On one side there's Hannah, and on the other there's Miley.

(I gave it to her mom, who then gave it to her about a week after we got back. She's 6 and we've never met. Never seems to work out. But she called me on my cell. She was really excited. Apparently, the moment she got it she started sharpening the coloring pencils lol)

I decided to get earrings for myself. Granted I have infections when it comes to jewelry and it's not 100% gold, but I liked them so much I was willing to suffer lol

I also bought the Travel Channel DVD since our guide Matthew really recommended it, and welll I always wanted to buy it.

After that, we made a quick stop at Tren-D. But we didn't get anything.

It was now around noon, and my mom was hungry. So we stopped at Ghirardelli and ate some yummy ice cream.

I forgot to say that I also got a necklace for my BFF. It says "Elizabeth" and it's silver. And underneath there is a tiny tiny Mickey head. She loves it. She just came down from Ohio to visit, and she was wearing it. Apparently she wears it all the time, and was even complemented at the "Caribou Coffee" place she works out.

Which makes me really happy :)

How neat you got to watch the fireworks every night!! That's so awesome! Tink looks like fun too! Sorry the line was so long!

OOOH I love the pics with the fairies!! So cute. Your Tink was awesome!!!

I know what you mean about the buses!! I freeze when I get on them in the mornings, lol.

I have that bride pin!! I love it.

Cute earrings!

The line was ok. They have little videos that play. So it makes the time pass.

I love that pin. I wanted to get more of the HM but I chose this one since it was limited edition and not too expensive :)

After that, we rolled ouf of there, toward the exit.

But on the way out, I could not help it but stop at the Pantry. I browsed through the store and there are a lot of things that seemed really nice. I am buying thing for my future appartment, remember? Well what I really wanted was too fragile to bring back, and some things I wondered if I'd really use. I settled on a cookbook.

wdw2009part2112.jpg

I am "in love" with Rachael Ray. I am subscribed to her magazine and eat it up every time I receive it. I am also addicted to her talk show. But I don't like the 30 minute meals show. So the only book that they had that was not 30 min meals was that one. She has others, but it was the first one I bought. Believe me, I am planning on buying the other non-30 mins :)

I think my mom bought gifts and things for her too, but I don't remember. I think that's when she bought her bamboo cutting board.

Our final stop was "World of memories". I collect all the "how to draw" books. My students love them too. And I had seen a new book, so I had to get it.

wdw2009part2103.jpg

After that, we slowly made it to the bus stop. The wait was looooooooooooong.

But after a while, we were back at the resort and checking up on my dad. He was feeling so so, but he was hungry. So we went to get dinner. My dad and I had the marinara pastas, my mom a flatbread, and we also asked for a side of house chips. My dad had said that the marinara was really good, but I prefered the Alfredo.

While we were eating I plugged in my portable DVD player, and we watched a few episode of "Friends".

We didn't go anything special the rest of that night. I guess we just hung out, watched tv, read, and watched the fireworks.

We spent a quiet night in the hotel.

Up next: Another day at the Magic Kingdom, and a meal at "The Plaza".

Too cool! What a nice relaxing trip! Sounds like my kind of vacation!!! :0)

That's what vacations are all about ;)

You're vacation sounds like the opposite of mine! There was hardly any relaxing!!! I think that was our problem on the cruise...we're not good at relaxing!

I know that if I ever did a cruise, I would do it with a friend. My parents are not cruise people ;)
I wish I had 2 weeks to relax in Disney. Every time we are there we try to see everything. When we get home I feel like I need a vacation from our vacation! :rotfl:

That's why we try to do 2 weeks now. We did one week at Christmas time a few years ago, and realized that's not us.

We need time to relax.
