The tour sounds awesome!! Sounds like you got to see a lot of backstage stuff! VERY interesting tidbit about Lily Disney! How could any man live up to Walt?!

Sounds like a lot of fun! I would love to do it one day. What age do you think kids should be to appreciate it?

I know! Matthew said the new husband was like: I can build you a back porch, but not a Castle in the backyard hehehe

If I'm not mistaking, kids have to be at least 16 years old to take this tour.

The tour sounded like a ton of fun. I would really enjoy doing this, but if the kids have to be 16, my DD7 would need a sitter or wait 9 years!! :scared1:
Maybe when we take the boyscouts in the spring, they probably wouldn't want to do it, so the adults could break away and leave the scouts with DD7.
I agree... how could any other man compete with Walt. She was married to one of the greatest men that ever lived. Her 2nd husband must have been a very special man.

Or maybe he was completely boring and she liked it that way! ;)

Maybe you're right Nikki. My mom keeps telling me that he must have been a hard man to live with. They must have had money troubles, and she must have been fed up of all his ideas that were supposed to make them money ;)

Plus, when you see all the videos of Walt and Lillian....doesn't it look like he loves her a bit more than she does love him? He's always touching her, looking at her and all. It's sweet.

Heys guys.

Sorry I've been slow with the updates.

Summer's coming to an end. I'm back to work on August 26. So I've been starting to plan. And I've been trying to do little projects that have been lying around. I'm been revamping 2 bookcases. Well one's almost done, and the other is not even started. I want to finish my painting. And I have my Snow White costume to finish before Halloween lol

Weather: Hot and Sunny 93F

That morning, we decided that it would be a shopping day. Well our first one anyway lol

My dad and I got ready. I have to say that my dad is usually up very early. So he gets ready first. I get ready. Then while my dad and I eat breakfast, my mom takes that time to get ready. That's how we could work things out as 3 adults traveling together lol

So my dad and I went to eat breakfast at the Contempo. My dad had the Adult platter (that he enjoyed), and I got the waffles with bananas and salted caramel. and boy were these yummy. Ok, they are no Mickey waffles. Which made me wonder why they did not have those. And by the one, I only had 4 pieces of banana on them lol

So when we were done, we met up with my mom in the lobby.

We took a bus for Downtown Disney. We did not wait long.

We made a stop at the Polynesian, then Typhoon Lagoon. Then we finally made it to the Marketplace.

We decided to head to "World of Disney" first as we knew it could be overwhelming late in the day.

The only thing I got there was postcards. (Sorry no pics). I also sent the postcards that day, when we were back at the hotel. And let me tell you. Why is it they have no idea how much stamps go on things when they sell them? I know for sure that 2 out of my postcards made it. But the 2 most beautiful ones, I have no clue yet. I am now thinking that I was not told to put enough. I think I put 73 cents, and my mom was told to put like 1 dollar. And hers all made it. Oh well. Sorry Heather and Maeva.

We have to say that we were a bit disapointed with "World of Disney". It seemed they had less interesting things than during our past trips.

My mom decided to take a smoke break, so my dad and I went to check out the Lego store. Ok, I don't play with Legos, but I enjoy looking at all the things people can do with them. It's an Art in itself.

After that, it was past 11am. It was time for our first "meal" at Ghirardelli's. Yep, that was our lunch lol

My dad got a Chocolate chip cone. It was a mistake in a way. I didn't see they had just chocolate ice cream too. So I ordered choc. chip. But my dad was it was REALLY good.

My mom got her usual chocolate milkshake. Which is always great.

And I got my fave from last trip. The Espresso escape sundae. It was good, but not as good as the 2 times I had it during the last trip. It tasted a bit minty. So either their spoon had been in mint ice cream before, of I had minty ice cream in there. Yeah, I won't be having that anymore, when I can have much better things.

After that, we went to "Team Mickey's". My dad got himself a yellow polo shirt with Mickey embroidered near the front pocket.

We then made our way to the store I had been waiting months to see: "Tren-d".

I LOVED it!!

It was so awesome!

I tried on a few tops, and decided on this top:

And another one you'll see in a pic later.

Then, I went into the "Once Upon a Toy" store. I was on a mission. My Bff's little boy loves dragons. So I wanted to buy him Maleficient as a dragon.

I found it (sorry I sent it before I took a pic), and I found a cute quote book for myself.

I then went to browse the Pin store, and met up with my parents.

We went into the Christmas store, and once again, we were a bit sad. It seemed to lack something. Nothing new, or purchase worthy was in there.

We were getting tired of walking around, but there was one last top we had to make:"Goofy's".

I wanted to get the pretzels. The line was loooong and it took forever. But I got my yummy pretzies, and we left.

We waited a bit for the bus. And the bus ride back was a bit long, I have to admit.

We made a stop at Pleasure Island, made a stop at Typhoon Lagoon, and we were finally back at the Contemporary.

It was almost 5 when we got back. It had been a long shopping day.

And we were exhausted.

So we rested a bit, then got food at the contempo, which we ate in the room, in front of the tv.

My mom got a cheese flatbread, my dad got the stacked ham sandwich, and I got the Alfredo chicken. It was all yummy. Especially my pasta. It was not the only time I had that dish heheh

Up next: Disney's Hollywood studios and a dismeet

That tour sounds great! I hope I get to do it one day, maybe if we can manage a trip w/out the kids.

And that shirt is really cute!

Hey guys!

I was very productive today and managed to finish my painting and revamping the first bookcase.

Thought you might wanna see what's keeping me away from the dis.

Here's the bookcase.

Cool! Thanks!

Once again, why don't you live closer lol We'd have fun :)

Totally! We have LOST parties at my apt....which basically consists of me, Tom and our BFF. But she comes over every Wednesday (thank god it's not on at 10 anymore because I was having trouble staying awake enough to concentrate!) and we turn out all the lights and there's NO talking until a commerical or you get shushed!! Usually I'm the one that gets the "shhhhhhhH!" because I like to talk to the TV or ask questions that have no answers. ;)

One more season!! Let's hope they give us some info!

I know. I would like to say I'm sad about it being the last season, but I think that they have to stop before it gets boring.

I can't wait for the last season to come out. My dvr did not record the last episode!!! :( But I have all the other seasons. So I need to get this one anyway lol
