That day was to be our meet day, and we had ressies for the sci-fi. Since I did not want to be too full, I only ate a chocolate croissant that morning. My parents had already ate.

We took a bus to DHS, and we stopped at the Poly. I was looking to see if Nikki was going to get on the bus. But they must have left earlier.

We were soon at DHS.

We made our way in, and browsed the stores to our left. We did not buy anything there.

My mom asked for a smoke break, so my dad and I went to look at the pins in the hat. My mom was to meet us there shortly.

I bought 2 pins.

After that, we made our way to the Great movie ride. The line really wasn't that long.

As we got in, I asked the CM if they were doing the Cowboy side. I had never seen that one. So he let me into the right line. And we got to see it! I was so excited!

My verdict: I prefer the gangster side hehehe At least I got to see the other one.

We still had a bit of time before our lunch ressie, so we went to check ou the American Idol Experience.

I really, really enjoyed it. It was so much fun. The host, and the judges were right on. And the contestants were good. The contestant I wanted to see win did not. The guy that won was from Argentina. I guess there were a lot of people from there in the room.

Once we exited, we were very thirsty. We stopped in the shop at the end, and got these cool Coca Cola aluminium bottles. I kept them, as I plan on using them.

It was finally almost time for our ressie. Our ressie was at 1:30pm and it was now 1pm. I tried to check-in, but the CM told me he could only do it 15 minutes prior to the time. I was confused as it has NEVER happened before.

When we returned 15 minutes later, they sat us immediatly.

Our waitress was not that nice. She was intimidating and scared me a little. As usual, my mom and I split a cheeseburger. Our plates were empty and our burgers were pink, even though we wanted well done. We did not return them, as we were scared of what the waitress would do. My dad got a burger too, and his was fine. We also got the onion rings, which were fine. And our shakes were good to.

We normally go to the sci-fi once every trip. We probably won't be going back. We were disapointed. Plus there are a lot of other places to try.

Since there was still time before our meet, my dad and I decided to go to the backlot tour. I forgot to say that earlier in the day, we went to the AFI store, and found out they did not sell any "ABC" merchandise anymore. I lived that store before as I once bought an "Ugly Betty" t-shirt (the one I'm wearing at CM) and"Lost" merchandise. Seems there's none anymore. My mom left us to see more stores, and my dad and I headed to the backlot tour.


On our way to the backlot tour, we ran into Tinkerbell60. She was looking around the sci-fi since she knew we'd be meeting later. She was with her lovely daughter. They were on their way to Epcot as they had reservations at the Japan restaurant. It was so nice meeting you 2!!

We waited about 15-20 minutes to get on.

Your tour in MK seemed pretty cool. I would like to do this if/when a) D is older b) I somehow go to Disney with out DD. LOL

Sorry I've been slow with the updates.

Summer's coming to an end. I'm back to work on August 26. So I've been starting to plan. And I've been trying to do little projects that have been lying around. I'm been revamping 2 bookcases. Well one's almost done, and the other is not even started. I want to finish my painting. And I have my Snow White costume to finish before Halloween lol

Did you ever get a chance to see my Snow White costume. I went as Snow White for MNSSHP last Oct. I made my costume too. It came out great and I got tons of compliments... and a few people who thought I was a cast member.

I see it worked. DH's costume and DD's tink were store bought! No time.

Dinner at Teppan Edo was great - Ashley and I really enjoyed it. We had not eaten there since our first trip in 2004. I was sorry to miss the Dismeet but we were lucky to get that ADR at the last minute.

I might be going to WDW next summer with my friend/colleague, her little girl, and boyfriend.

the Cowboy version of GMR seems very rare!

i've only done it once... just because my Dad recognised a CM managing the line who'd been the gangster last time we rode the attraction... the CM was so pleased to be 'spotted' that he let us change to the other line, so we'd be in the car with the cowboy scene instead.. definitely a magical moment!

You do need to see it at least once

Do try it. We've been there several times, and it was the first time we didn't like it.

They tend to run the Cowboy scene when the crowds are bigger. I believe it is more expensive to run.

As we got out of the "Backlot tour", I was a bit worried. It was now 3:10pm. I was supposed to meet Nikki at 3pm. So my dad and I took off and started to run.

I was glad when I got in front of the Sci-fi to see that she was there, with Tom, and another lady.

My dad said hello, and then went to meet up with my mom.

The other lady was "Born 2 B Princess". It was so nice to meet them. We had a nice chat, and I wish it could have been longer, but it was so hot! My parents were waiting for me, and I did not want to keep them waiting.

But before I left, we took a couple of pictures.

We said goodbye, and I went towards the "dino". My parents were seated there.

I had to wait a couple of minutes as "Block party bash" was going on, and I could not cross the street.

It finally ended, and we all decided to head back to the resort. We were melting.

As we were walking towards the exit, I saw Nikki again, and pointed her out to my mom, but she could not see her.

We grabbed a drink, and went to catch a bus back to the CR.

By the time we got to the CR, we were REALLY tired.

So it was a quiet night. We ate soups and pasta at the Contempo cafe, watched the fireworks as usual, and went to bed.

We are. We don't plan. We just see what we feel like doing that day. That's what's great about staying 2 weeks.
