Wishes Dessert Party

I am going to be making my ADR for Wishes Dessert Party and hoping to get in. If the fireworks are at 8pm what time do I choose - or is there only one time? I wondered if I can choose 7pm so we can eat and then watch? Any tips would be great!

We did the Wishes Dessert Party last year. We were given a specific check-in time (I think it was 7pm). We were able to snack on yummy desserts and drinks for the time before the fireworks began...of course the treats were still available during the fireworks as well, so you can continue to eat through the whole show!

Check-in is 1 hour before fireworks start. However, a line forms about 30 minutes before that. Sometimes they start letting people on before the hour.

The system sometimes insists on giving people staggered "seating times" for the Dessert Party as though it were a continuous service restaurant rather than being a once-a-night single event. No matter what ADR time the system gives you, the party opens for all attendees approximately one hour before Wishes and you'll want to get there at least 15 minutes before that one-hour slot. Getting there a whole lot earlier does not get you a better seat because the tables are pre-assigned. But if Wishes starts at 8 and you get a 7:30 ADR, please do not wait until 7:30 to go. All you will have done is paid for half an hour you didn't use. Conversely, if the system gives you a 6 pm ADR, they still won't let you in that early! For an 8 pm Wishes, arrive between 6:30 and 6:45.
