Can anybody tell me about this...I could not find details on the disney website.

How much does it cost? Is it worth it? Why or why not? Where do you make reservations for this at? Any ideas will help. Thanks so much :)

I have this booked for our upcoming vacation.

You have to call dining reservations to book this, it cannot booked on-line.

Can't remember what I paid, something like 24.99 for adults and 19.99 for kids. It has to paid in full at the time booking.

Oh ok. I don't think that is too bad of a price really.. Does that book up pretty fast then? Have you done it before?

Description

The Wishes Dessert Party is a nightly event held at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station in the Magic Kingdom. It includes a dessert buffet and a dedicated viewing area for the Wishes firework show.

Details

The Dessert Party is located in the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. The cost is $21.99 for Guests ages 10 and over and $11.99 for Guests ages 3 - 9, prepayment is required at the time of booking. Pricing during peak periods (identified weeks that have a higher price point due to demand) will be $25.99 for adults and $13.99 for children. Park admission to Magic Kingdom Park is also required. The Disney Dining Plan is not accepted.

The party begins 1 hour before the scheduled performance of Wishes, and runs for approximately 30 minutes after the Wishes start time.

Reservations can be made with Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE. Walkups without a reservations are possible, but the event frequently sells out.

The Dessert Party resumes from March 28 2010. Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party will not be offered on April 23, April 24, April 30 or May 1 2010 due to Grad Nites.

Check-in Process

As an example, for a 9pm showing of Wishes, the dessert party would open at 8pm. On arrival at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station (ideally a little before 8pm), head to the podium. Each member of your party will be given a wrist band and a card indicating a section group of A, B, C. Once the event begins, return back to the podium, and a host will take your group to your preallocated table in your section.

Once Wishes begins, most guests will move to a standing area against the railings of the restaurant for an optimium view.

This sounds really neat! I am on the QSD and we get so many snacks already, anybody think it is still worth paying the extra?

How long is this going to be happening for? When I called in April, they told me that it was only going on thru the end of April. Has it been extended? Til when?

I believe it is presently booking up to Aug 14.

We liked it a lot! I didn't think the desserts were amazing (not as good as the restaurant desserts, or Main Street Bakery), but the price was worth it just to have a calm, relaxing place to watch the fireworks. SO much better than being jostled around - especially with a sleeping baby and sleepy 4 year old. One family there with us became VERY upset that their table was not "front and center," but when the fireworks begin, everyone stands up and moves to the rail anyway. We will definitely do it again just for the space.

We took our three adult children last summer for the first night it was open (end of June) and it was WONDERFUL!!! My husband first thought that since he had stood for too long waiting for too many fireworks that any price was worth it, but then we saw the dessert counter.

Our youngest (at the time age 21 and called "the human hoover") actually was full when he was done "dining." It was beyond wonderful and we could graze for almost two full hours before the fireworks. The only down side was that if you want to actually be at the railing to watch you still must stand; they don't let you take the chair to the edge. If people are at the railing, it is hard to see. But since we had pigged out and sat for the two hours prior, we somehow suffered . The cost was $24.99 each and I will honestly say, that while expensive, it was one of the best times we had in our week there: the castle, the fireworks, and all the choc strawberries you could stuff in your face!:worship:

Thanks for the blog with the photos! We are booked for June 22nd. I just showed my husband and he is so excited! It's a surprise for our kids. They have no idea.

I just wanted to bump this up:rolleyes1 I am waiting to see when they are accepting res. for Mid Sept. I hope soon! :cool1:
