Wishes Dessert Party-I booked for August!

I'm going to say it was later than the end of June last year that it was extended.

I can't find the e-mail I sent Special Diets inquiring about lactose free desserts, but I did find the one I'm sure I sent off before with all of our ADR's and it was July 14th.

I remember contacting Brenda a few times. I'm almost 100% sure that the Dessert Party dates opened up sometime after the 14th of July.

So I called immediately, first Rep said no, only until Aug. called again and that rep checked into it. She said it was all booked up for First week of October and to keep trying back.

So either I was lied to, or most reps don't know to check, they just assume they know without looking into it? I dunno.

That website is from last year and it shows the dessert party being extended until January 2010. I just called and the lady said that the last date for the party is still August 14th. I have called in the past and have gotten someone saying it was "booked" only to call back the next day and be told that it's not scheduled past August 14th.

OMG, I can't believe I didn't catch that! SORRY! Ok so the rep I was speaking to must not know what she was speaking about. I had asked her if it was scheduled or that it was showing fully booked..and she said fully booked. I guess we will wait and see.

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago- the rep I spoke with said it had been extended but it was fully booked. I called back later the same day and was told that it was still scheduled to end August 14th.

Hmm...since it was desserts I stuck with the milk and water...but I remember there was more than that available.

Well as long as there is coffee I am a happy camper. But Dh loves his juices. I think I saw lemonade there. So that will please him and the kiddos.

I just got off the phone with Disney dining and they still have not extended it yet. I call every day and it seems like every time I speak to a cast member they say to keep tying back, they believe it will be extended.

I had a look a dining reservations and could get a table at the Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe for dinner on 22nd August. This venue is usually CS but it looks like they are making it a TS buffet to take up some of the ADR's during free dining. If they do that, then the desert buffet area will probably be given up for tables at Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe. It's a shame as we really wanted to book the buffet on 20th August

In 2009 the dinner buffet was on at the same time as the Wishes Dessert Party (one inside and one outside), so we still have some hope. I found a post from last year that showed the dates for Wishes in August & September opened up in July! I keep calling and will let everyone know if I hear anything!

The suspense is killing me. We have to book this for this trip. It's our anniversary, and DD and DS will be all decked out from BBB and the Pirate's league. This would be SO MUCH fun.

Called today...still 8/14. She said to keep trying, so here's hoping they'll open it up in Sept. We'll be there 9/18-26 and have never done the dessert party. Keeping fingers crossed that I'll be able to surprise DH on our honeymoon, as he's crazzzzzy about sweets!

But... I just paid off my trip in full today, so I'm kinda hoping the dessert party is not announced until after I've gotten another paycheck!

They have not started reservations for the dinner buffet yet, so maybe they will change their mind and go back. Here's to wishful thinking.

Thanks for the update bobbie. I'm wishful thinking too!! I refuse to give up hope. Since you cannot make dinner reservations for the Tomorrowland Terrace during some of our vacation dates, there's still a chance that a decision will be made in our favor. We will be there September 4-11 and all of our planning is just about done except for snagging a reservation for this dessert party!! It's making me crazy!!
