Wishes Dessert Party-I booked for August!

Yes whenever I ring up I post here - if everyone else does that, it will save on duplicated phone calls :goodvibes

I wish they would release more dates. We've only got 77 more days before we go. I'd like to get this issue taken care of soon.

This sounds AWESOME!

Has anyone been to this? Is it worth it? I mean if you end up having a crowded view of the fireworks afterwards, is it worth it? :confused3

Anyone have any pics of what sounds like "to-die-for" desserts?

thanks,

I went to the Dessert Party last year. It was OUTSTANDING! The view of the parade and fireworks was great, the selection of desserts and beverages was great and the service was outstanding. Our son has many food allergies. The manager came out met with us, brought the listing of ingredients for all the food he could be served, made a platter just for him with "safe" food. Disney is always great with food allergies, but this was the best service I ever saw during any of our trips to WDW. We loved the Party! If I figure out how to post pics I will do so.

Just got off the phone with Disney dining. They are still only booking until 8/14

:headache:

Oh when will they open up late August?!?!

I'm waiting for a date towards the end of August too but I think that they won't hold any dessert parties while free dining is on. They usually open up the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station as an extra TS buffet location to try and take some of the slack from the other TS restaurants during free dining. My guess is that they will do this and won't restart the dessert buffet until the main free dining crowds have gone.

I hope I'm wrong though

Since it's not on the DDP, I wouldn't think that free dining would be a concern.

I never knew that Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station was open for free dining? It always seemed closed while we were there. That would be cool it if was open!

What I meant is that the Terrace Noodle Station area (including the bit where the Dessert buffet is held) could be used for a TS buffet dining location during free dining.

I took this info from the Disney Dining site

The dessert party is booking until the 14th August at the moment, and free dining is on when we arrive on the 1st - so its a case of keep waiting patiently - or in my case unpatiently

But you've got free dining via Disney UK (same as us) US free dining starts on 15th August which is what makes me think they'll use the area for the Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe buffet.

I really hope I'm wrong as we'd love to book the dessert buffet again

Oh see what you mean - sorry - though to be honset what they charge for wishes dessert party I think they would make more money that way rather than let people who have free dining use it - fingers crossed

They had the dessert party through the free dining in 2009, so I can't imagine why they wont do it again this year. Unless they are finding it is not selling well, but that does not seem to be the case at this point.

Yep. We went to 3 desert parties last December when they had free dining as well. I don't think it will be an issue.

Since this is an on going thread I figured I would ask a few questions here if you don't mind. Do you prepay for the party? Is there any discounts? I thought I read that someone got an AP/DVC discount and was wondering if that was true.

TIA
