Wishes Dessert Party-I booked for August!

You will get a table. Most likely it is pretty booked for your date and your table may be in the back or with an obstruction. The standing-room only applies to the actual fireworks and you may need to move to the wall to be able to see them. This happens even when the party is not booked. It is only normal to move towards the front and the wall.

Enjoy it is a lot of fun.
Thanks! That makes me feel better... I don't mind standing for the fireworks... actually I prefer it with the kids. But I really am looking forward to enjoying all those yummy desserts!!!! I can't wait!!!:goodvibes

I'm confused

I just called about 5 minutes ago and the CM I spoke with said that they weren't booking dates in August yet.

She didn't seem very impressed when I said I KNEW that wasn't true because I read it on DIS...

What do I do now? :confused3

Call again and get a different CM. :thumbsup2 They may not be booking past August 14th yet.

I guess that was the trick! MIL actually called a few minutes after I did and was able to book August 1 @ 9!

She called us to let us know after I posted my question, obviously. Thanks for the feedback, though! :)

I think that they want it paid in full with reservation. I booked the pirates cruise and had to pay for it 'off the top' so to speak

yes you have to pay up front but you can cancel if need be - think 48 hours before

Oh, this is good to hear! I'm thinking about surprising everyone on the last night of our trip. But DB#1 and his 3 kids - 9, 8, & 6 - are "early to bed, early to rise" and I don't know if they'll be able to make it that late (they're usually all in bed between 7:30 & 8:00 :confused3).

Does anyone know how the seating is assigned? Is it "first reservations get the best seats" or do they have the seating arrangements established and, if you have a large party (10), you're sitting in the back under the roof?

when you ring up to book just double check the cancellation policy - def can cancel but not 100% sure on timing. I do not go to bed late at home (well around 10pm) but when you are on holiday and there is so much to see I am sure they will be fine :goodvibes No idea re the seating as our first time - hope big parties are not at the back as there are eight of us

We went on the 9 May as a party of 9.

Seating is assigned beforehand. When you get there, there will be tables with your name on it. For my party of 9, we were split into two tables next to each other...one for 3 (we had 3 kids) and the other for 6. We were placed one table back from the balcony; and there was another row or two of tables behind us.

It didn't matter where you sat as...When it got close to the fireworks time, everyone pretty much got up and went to the balcony. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out along the balcony to enjoy the fireworks.

I hope the kids will be ok. We'll be there for 9 nights. Our last full day is scheduled to be a MK day and the day before that is a "free" (read: no plans) day so I'm hoping they'll be all rested and revved up. Or maybe they can take an afternoon siesta and head back out to MK after dinner. B'fast at CM at 11am so dinner will be a CS - around 6'ish - so they'll be good and hungry for those luscious desserts!!

I told my mom about the dessert party (not mentioning the fact that I'm thinking of booking it as a surprise :goodvibes) and she loved the idea of being able to watch Wishes while sitting at a table. Well, maybe we'll get lucky and get assigned to one of the outermost tables. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I think I will book this as soon as the date opens - Aug. 22nd. :thumbsup2 Thank you for your input! :cheer2:

Most likely she will not be able to see the fireworks sitting at your table...even the ones "up front". Everyone gets up and stands along the wall and the roof of the terrace will also block your view if sitting.

When we booked our Dessert Party for last August, I think we booked almost as soon as we were able to. Not sure if it had any impact on where we were put. Our assigned table was right next to the dessert buffet itself.
I would doubt that anyone will be able to see the fireworks if seated at a table. Everyone gets up and goes to the outside area to watch. The tables are all (or were last summer at least) setup underneath the roofed area. I don't remember seeing any tables set up in the open areas.

Still booking to August 14th. We will be there September 19th to 26th and wanted to book this too. I call every week, so will keep everyone posted!popcorn::
