It is assigned. But even if you get a seat further back about 5 minutes before the show everyone walks over to the banister and stands there while Wishes is performed. So you will be good!

I've been to the party twice now, both times as a party of two sitting in the front. Although the CMs told everyone they could stand, nobody ever did.

Maybe I just had two odd experiences but just thought I'd share my two cents :)

Funny you say that, we are always a party of two and have always gotten the front table regardless of when I booked. But we have never been to a party where nobody got up to stand. Not a big deal, I am usually taking pictures so I am better off standing anyway.

I know back by the desserts and under where Tink lands nobody really stands. But every time we have been in the front and center people have always stood up.

Same here, and we've gone three times. All three times we were in the front, and only once did anyone stand at the railing (although quite a few kids did this past time.)

We booked last night for 3 on Oct. 3. I am so excited. It was our last reservation to make and it's the perfect end to our daughter's birthday. Now just wating for the next 2 months to go by.

How did you make the reservations? I have been checking every day and no October... I just called and was told my date 10/1 was already full... How did I miss them opening up the reservations? Did you call or go online?

Lol right! You will be REALLY easy to pick out :rotfl2: I will be the mom with the DD and DS.

LOL well hopefully we will all be in the front!

I got us booked for Oct the 1st. I was going to go on Oct 3rd but then decided against it. We are going to do MNSSHP on the 4th, our last night. Oct 1st is our first full day, so we do something special at the beginning of our trip and then at the end of our trip. I am getting soooo excited:dance3:

See ya there!!!

I think they meant the dessert party spots on the night of MNSSHP, if Disney even holds the party on those nights. Last year (I believe) they open up the dessert party to be held the same night as the Halloween/Christmas parties.

I wonder, how does that effect your Halloween/Christmas party experience. Does it eat up too much time of the hard-ticketed event?

I found the dessert party during MVMCP really ate up a lot of party time and wouldn't do it again

Are you trying to book a party of 2? It wouldn't let me see anything under a party of 3 on October 1st when I wanted it, so I called and they didn't see ANYTHING for that day, apparently, so I had to book it for 3 call back and cancel one of the party to bring it down to 2.

I've only done it once, last May. 50% sat and 50% went up to the rail. We were front row and sat with a perfect view! At the end of a long day it is so nice to just sit in peace. I do want that again! In May it was just DS#1 and I, so I want the rest if the family to experience what we did.

Thanks! I was considering switching if they opened up times on the 4th if it wa no big deal. I couldn't see how it wouldn't eat a ton of time up, but you never know.

We're there the same night, jendujka! And we're from the same place - well, we're in West St. Paul! Too funny!

"It's a Small World Afterall..." :) Just getting used to the MN school calendar with a kindergartener, but I figure, with 3 days off for MEA, we might as well make a week of it!

Well, I guess I'll leave the seats I was looking for, for someone else. I reviewed our schedule and decided that we just have too many things already planned for our six short days, and I don't want to turn this trip into an "Orlando commando" expedition. With MNSSHP, we'll already have the fireworks show there, and I'll be spending plenty of time cruising Food & Wine for treats, so I'm going to skip this dessert party after all. Saves a few $, too.

Maybe I'll get to do it on another trip someday.

Have fun, everyone!

I just got off the phone, October 27, and October 29. Closed:sad1::sad1::sad1: Very disapointed, I went away for the weekend. Since when do they open the party on a Friday?

Congrats to all you oct's that got your dates. Keep trying Mirax maybe someone will cancel. Can someone tell me what the pricing is this year for Oct. We are going to try to book Nov and I'm thinking it should be the same. Thanks

Just for the heck of it I put int he 27th with 3 guests and there are openings. Go back and try again.

I just checked for reservations for 10/13/12. There was nothing for two but there were reservations for three. I figured I would call and see if I could get it straightened out over the phone. The woman on the phone told me there was no reservations for 10/13/12 at all. I told her that I saw where there were reservations for three but not for two. She then told me that was not accurate and told me to have a nice day. I got off the phone with her and sure enough, there were still reservations for three, just not two. I then made a reservation for three with a 0-2 child as the third member of our party. I don't like doing that, so I let my TA know what I did and see if she can help me get straightened out with a reservation for two. I just wanted to make sure we had something before all the reservations were gone. Will this wind up being a big issue or do I not need to worry about it as much as I am?
