Has anyone had any luck with scheduling the dessert party on any sunday in Sept, yet? the 4th, 11th, 18th or 25th? I was still trying for the 11th and getting the "Sorry, we were unable to find available times."

I'm curious as well. I really want 25th but is it really all booked or it's glitch in the system?

:cool1::banana:
Just booked a SEPTEMBER 17th dessert party ressie online!! Wanted to let everyone know that was looking for Sept dates!
:yay:

I'm thinking about doing this for my next trip, but I can't decide whether I want to or not. I've done it before, and thought the view and service were great, and the food was decent, but other guests really put a damper on the evening. I also have a dinner ADR at 5:00 that I don't want to cancel, so I can't decide if I want a dessert buffet after a sit down dinner. If I don't do it this trip, it wouldn't be the worst thing, but I have absolutly no interest in seeing the MSEP, my big concern is the crowds, but I'm trying to decide if $20 is worth it to just get away from most people, though that's what really ruined it for me last time.

DH & I also have a 5pm dinner reservation the evening I want to book the dessert party for so I do not expect either of us will eat much, we want to book the party to be out of the swell of guests on Main St that occur during Wishes.

Mind if I ask what happened the other time you went? I would prefer to sit to watch the fireworks, but I do know that may not be possible due to people standing at the railing. I was just reading another thread where some are talking of how the CM's allowed them to pull their chairs up to the railing :confused3 which is something I thought was a no no.

I also want to know if anyone can get Sept. 11th. I tried online and on the phone and they both say sold out. Really I dont think so

I thought I would share my experience of trying to book this party.

I spoke with a CM who told me the party wasn't running on Sunday 09/18 which confuses me as it does come up online :confused3

She then told me there was a party on 09/26 (our other day at MK) however we have an ADR at Artist Point and are not sure if we can make it back in time. She told me she would check if the date was available and guess what - it was fully booked!! :scared1:

Am just going to keep trying and see if I can get a booking. Good luck to everyone else trying :goodvibes

Someone reported booking 9/26 early this am, I believe online. Did you try online. Some have reported trouble when clicking the date, but able to book when they manually enter the date 09/26/2011.......make sure you enter the month as 09. Good Luck.

Just thought I would share what happened yesterday. When I saw these messages I went online and went through the booking process (and yes gave them all the cc info) and I clicked confirm. I got an error message on the next screen. I immediately called Disney dining and re-started the booking process on the computer (this was for Sept 8th). I was able to make the second reservation online while I was on the phone with the CM- I didn't want to be charged twice. I wasn't sure if the first one had gone through. It hadn't and we were able to book. I see a lot of people having trouble booking this- and on the second attempt I used Internet Explorer b/c sometimes I have issues with Firefox and the dining website. Just thought I would share and hopefully everyone's glitches get worked out.
Hope everyone gets what they want.
Dana

I did book Sept 26th this morning and another poster said they did as well. I guess it is possible it fully booked since then.

People were definatly standing at the railing when I was there. That wasn't what bothered me though. I had people leaving their dirty plates on my table, had other (non-party) guests sneaking in, ripping off the reserved sign from my table, and trying to sit at my table, after I'd stood up for a few minutes to get pictures of the castle. Stuff like that. It was all handled well by the CMs, but common courtesy on the guest's part, it wouldn't have happened at all.

Oh I should have posted that I tried using firefox first but when it got to the processing screen it just stopped and wouldn't go anywhere. IE worked fine and that is how I booked.

From my 2009 dining reviews;

The other guests, well, they leave something to be determined. I really hate people who have entitled attitudes, or who just have no respect for other guests.

First of all, a party seated near me had a small child. I get that this is Disney, and there are children everywhere. And I like kids, I really do, but when they are climbing all over the chairs at my table, parents really need to control a little better.

Also, a lady up at the buffet was complaining that the plates were too small. It's a buffet, who cares how big the plates are, you can come up for seconds.

There was also people putting their dirty dishes on my table, since they didn't have room on their table for them. How, I wonder did they manage to fit their plates on the table when there was food on them I wonder, if they couldn't possibly fit after they had finished eating. Let alone the fact that I really don't like looking at other's plates of scraps of uneaten food while I'm trying to eat.

The rudest guests however, were two that took over my table completely. I had finished eating, and had gone to stand at the balcony for a minute. I just can't sit still for that long, and I wanted to get a couple pictures of the castle anyway. While I was up, and mind you I was probably only about ten feet away from my table, which had a little "reserved for disneyfav4ever's party" slip taped to it. A couple came up, ripped off the slip, and decided to sit there.

When I went back over to the table, and luckily I had grabbed my bag when I went up to the balcony, since I had my back to the table, they said this was their table, and they were here first. Um, no, it's my table. I don't want to sound greedy or selfish, but it was my table. Luckily a CM came over before anything else happened, and told the people that this was a reserved spot for party guests and they had to leave. So they had just snuck into the area, and had hoped not to get caught. Yup, definatly not their table.

Thanks for this - yes tried both dates online before ringing. I entered dates manually but am guessing the CM was right and it's all booked up as there are only limited dates on which the party is running. I was just under the impression that the party would run everyday apart from on MNSSHP dates. However, this is not the case - oh well I hope to be able to get a chance to book it on a future trip.

I did book Sept 26th this morning and another poster said they did as well. I guess it is possible it fully booked since then.

Yes, am guessing it has been booked. Oh well, will just have to be quicker next time round. In the meantime will keep looking for cancellations though highly doubt there will be any!

I think they are all sold out for last week of Sept. I wanted Sept 25 but wasn't available, so I booked Sept 26. I checked on other dates as well. Sept 24, 26, 28, 29 were all available until noon time. I was hoping if 25th opens, I'll cancel my 26th. But it seems, now that I'm going through dining site online, everything is solid booked.
By the way, I used IE and had no problem booking online.

I guess since every Dessert Party is solid booked for last week of Sept. it's hardly likely that I'll be able to switch to Sept 25. We will see you at the party on 26th!

I'm very glad that I booked 26th! :banana::dance3: If I didn't do that this morning, I would have been very sad without any party available.

From my 2009 dining reviews;

I can definately understand your being upset, one would not expect someone to just come and take over a table they did not pay for, but then I keep forgetting gone are the days when everyone respected the property of others. I am happy to see that at least the CM saw what was happening and interceded.

So sorry to hear that about the date you wanted to book, I guess it just seemed to sell out so quick, I could not believe it. Hope something opens up so you might yet be able to book your party :wizard:

I think anyone who is trying to book the party on Sept. 11th should write an email saying that they tried to book it 1st thing and it was showing tables are full and they want an explanation.. Thats what I did. I am so angry.
