Does anyone know if tomorrowland terrace has high chairs? I will be with my 11 month old son. Also, do they still serve the chocolate truffles? I have not seen them in recent pics

Good question re: high chairs. I am curious too...

I have never even thought about it! I'm sure someone here will be able to answer your question about the high chairs. I don't recall having chocolate truffles at the Dessert Party last May, but there was SO MUCH THERE, I may have missed them!!!

I just called Disney dining and they said tomorrow land terrace does have high chairs! Although I would like to hear from someone who has witnessed this with their own eyes because I have had CM's give me the wrong info over the phone before.

They do have high chairs. We used one in January. They are lined up by the ramp to the upper seating area and it is help yourself. :-)

I went to the dessert party on May 3rd and it was raining, which sucked a little, but its a covered area so that was nice. The desserts were awesome and the view can't be beat. I'd definitely do it again.

Hello again!
Sorry to be a burden....

If you go to this link, i added (updated) some pictures of the dessert party. The pictures show where you enter the dessert party, the table seating for the party, how the parade would look from the party, as well as the desserts, drinks, and ice cream station. There are additional pictures that label some of the desserts found at post 393 of the thread.

Hope these pictures help! :thumbsup2

I think I speak for us all when I say--NO BURDEN! :) Thank you for keeping us all informed & up to date! :thumbsup2

Great pictures! We're booked for our first party & so excited! It will be a surprise for my dessert loving DD. Don't know who she gets her sweet tooth from...:rolleyes1

I know the line starts forming early even though seats are assigned. Wishes is scheduled for 10:00 on our night so does that mean the party will open at 9:00 and guests will start lining up at 7:30-8:00? Is the benefit of getting there that early that you have time for more trips to the buffet? Would we be ok if we didn't get there until closer to 9:00? The reality is we probably won't make that many trips to fill our plates, but I don't want them to already be out of something if we don't get there so early.

I also have a question about going to the railing for the show...how early do people start grabbing a spot? Maybe that's more a reason to get there early? Eat quickly and get to the railing? I don't want to be "that mom" but, like everyone else, I want to make sure my DD can see (yes, I know it's fireworks in the sky, but you still want a good view.)

Thanks to Mark for all the info, and everyone else that provides feedback & opinions! :worship:

From our experience it makes no sense to line up so early! They will start seating shortly before the scheduled start of the buffet. From our experience you are fine if you are there like 15 to 20 minutes before the buffet starts! There is plenty of food and no one will be able to grab something before 9 pm :-)
so no reason for us to waste time standing in line!

When we went to the party people started moving to the railing at about 15 minutes prior to the start of Wishes....
You will enjoy it!!

I think that there is probably confusion about line up times because Wishes starts at different times depending on the time of year. We've done the dessert party at 7pm and 8pm on our last 2 trips because Wishes was at 8pm and 9pm respectively. I agree that there is no reason to line up more than 10-15 minutes earlier than your reservation time. They don't let people in earlier than an hour before Wishes, and there is plenty of food to go around. We like to be done with desserts before the castle projection show which is before Wishes.

Enjoy!!

We went to the party twice a few weeks ago. Both times they started seating people about 8:45; the fireworks started at 10.

People started standing at the rail anywhere from 9:30 on, to see what the could of the parade, the projection show around 9:45, then the fireworks.

Why do people stand at the rail? From our experience, we could see well from our table (even both kids) in the middle row. The table behind us was empty, but I imagine they would have been able to see everything too. Part of the allure of the party is being able to relax and watch the fireworks, no?

When we went in December, nobody stood up at the railing. It was wonderful! It was the first time that I have ever gotten to watch Wishes (from the front of the castle) without being squished or stepped on. I never even knew that people typically stand at the railing! I guess we just got lucky.

I'm hoping for more luck for August....;)

The tables in the back are obscured by the overhang/ceiling That is why the CM's tell everyone they are free to stand at the railing. It is still very relaxing as there is room for all at the rail.
