Anyone know or heard any rumors if this will be offered in 2011? Hoping to be able to go to this in January...on my son's birthday would be ideal!! Have called Dining reservations twice, and all they know is that right now theres no dates for 2011.

I'm wondering the same thing and would really love to know. :confused3

I have seen that a few people received a pin code and they posted it here on the DIS for in the new year and it mentions something about priority seating at Wishes Dessert Party. I contacted my "Disney Specialist" and because they are affiliated with Disney she can't either confirm or deny it. I think that it will be there in the new year it just hasn't been announced yet. I told her that when she finds out to book it for us on the 13th of Feb.

I really can't wait to try it out, I wish we did it last November when we were there but we bought tickets to MVMCP instead.

I'm hoping too! A bunch of us are hoping to do this one night while we're there as an "adults only" thing. We had to do that b/c it will be way too late for my kids and the won't really understand if my 9 yr old nephews get to go (and also my SIL's kids, she keeps them up till all hours of the night) and they don't. Hoping for a Jan. 19th date!

I"m holding off on ordering a birthday cake in case this will be an option. I'd really rather go to the wishes dessert party. Maybe I'll call Disney again and see what they say.

I don't see why they would stop offering it. It seems to be popular enough and I'm certain the profit margin on the dessert part is great for Disney.

I just called and the CM said that the Dessert Party will be offered in January, however it isn't open for bookings yet. She assumed in the next couple of weeks they should be able to access it.

I called on 11-15 as well and was told it was available, that it was "on the calendar", attempted to have them book it, the system wouldn't let her book it and then she discovered that it was a "mistake" and not being offered. Or that's atleast what I was told. If its as popular as it seems I can't imagine them discontinuing a money maker like that.

I tried to book the Dessert Party today for a trip in June and was told that the system is still not allowing it to be booked. The representation suggested I call back in a few days/weeks and try again

No need to call dining you can book this online now. I just booked it for mid feb and i noticed it looked like you can book through June. I would try online first. Goto Dining reservations and pick dining event. It shows up the in the dropdown box.

I was able to book last month for December and now see the day we are planning on going is booked solid. If you want to go I suggest you get it booked asap so your not disappointed.

I am booked for March...was able to pull up online but booked over the phone so I could use a gift card!

I spoke to Disney Dining this morning and they said they are still not able to book for June 2011, so while it appears online that it is available and all full - that is not the case. They said there are currently no ressies booked in June for this event

Can someone please explain the dessert party? What is the price, what is included etc.? Thanks!

I copied this from Deb Wills site
"The Fireworks Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom gives you the chance to enjoy a self-service buffet offering a wide range of sweets and beverages, in the Tomorrowland Terrace. This location is then your exclusive viewing area for the nightly fireworks display. The Dessert Party opens one hour prior to the showing of the fireworks.

The regular price for this experience is $21.99 for adults and $11.99 for children (3-9 years old). Peak period pricing will be $25.99 for adults and $13.99 for children."

The dessert selection is fabulous and I enjoyed it when we went in October of 2009. I have booked it for myself as a treat for my Birthday when I go next week.
You can book on line, pre-payment is required, I am hoping that it will be extended into May as I would love to treat my family to the dessert party. But right now it is only available until around March.

Just a heads up that I was able to book the dessert party this morning for May 7th. I've been checking for weeks and it was suddenly there today!! Enjoy!

I noticed on the Disney website that you can book up to the end of July now. Come on August! Anyone know if August is considered peak time? I know that if the price is much more than $23 per person, hubby likely won't go for it. TIA

I viewed some wonderful pics of the dessert buffet the other day and now when I want to show my daughter them I can't find them. Does anyone know where they are?? Thanks. And can you see the lighted parade good from there?

Come on August!!! We'll be there for 12 days beginning on Aug. 21 for Free Dining and man I'd love it if they'd open this up for that time frame!!!!

Can anyone who has been to Wishes tell me more about the desserts? My sister is a huge dessert fan and is excited about this. I like desserts but am not a huge fan of chocolate. I'm more of a fruity dessert person if that makes sense. Is there a lot offered that is not chocolate? We've already booked for late April so I'm stuck either way. Thanks!
