Wishes 10/8/11 WP/GF-- Love's First Kiss-- Trip Report Complete

We tried to get some kids-only photos. Carley was perfectly behaved, of course... can't say the same for the little ones! They were hit and miss. We did get a few great ones though.

I love that picture. It's so beautifully composed but they're still acting like children!

My MOH Erica fixed my hair a bit before we got started with my portraits. My style held up pretty well, but the humidity wasn't on our side. You can see that I"m stressed in this picture

This next one was an accident, the children wandered in on their own. I love it!

My two MOHs disappeared for a minute, then came back with six glasses of Champagne. See why I love them?

I took a few sips in between pictures. A little bubbly helped soothe my nerves. And I wasn't the only one!

She was my little star that day. She is only 6, but she acts so grown up. We've always had a special bond.

Hi. I just wanted to touch base and say most importantly, congratulations!! I have been reading your TR and really love your writing style. Sarah and I have penned out our individual recounts of the days of our trip and just haven't had the time to finalize them and post them. But this really inspires me to have us do that during our down time during the holidays.

Our wedding was a few weeks before yours but had many of the same venues and elements, save for the size being much smaller.

I love the way you wrote about it..it takes me back to that week of ours, waiting to see her and watching the events unfold.

It really is great to read.

You two have a simliar first day tradition as we do...first off, Magic Kingdom. No other way for us to start a trip.

We have so many memories captured. And Reading your account of your amazing day really brought it all home..again.

Just wanted to say that we, too, loved Regina. Your pictures are wonderful and so truly great. Everything about your event looks so well done, so perfectly matched and balanced.

I was just poking around on the Beaute Speciale site for some inspiration and I saw a photo of you. I couldn't remember if you had used them or if this woman looked just like you with the same dress, so I went back and re-read your getting ready portion.

As I was re-reading that portion, I loved the part of the playlist. I thought I was the only one who care about doing that. "Chapel of Love" will be the last song I hear as I am getting ready to head out the door. Love the singalong.

Oh wow I didn't know I was on the BS website! Regina has that picture on her Facebook page; I should send them a picture that shows off the makeup more. Laine was so amazing. She made me feel very pretty. And my playlist was a great decision. It really kept me calm, and I got to hear all my favorite love songs (like I'm in love with "Looking for Romance" from Bambi). They made me really excited for the ceremony.

I guess Carley was feeling a little nervous herself

It was about this time that I noticed everyone was gone. Carley was still with me, and the photographers and Danny were there (of course), but my family and bridesmaids were gone. I asked Danny where they were, and he said it was time for them to get to the pavilion and I would see them before the ceremony. However, my MOHs were supposed to ride with me in the coach, so I asked Danny if he could get them back.

It was time to set off for the Wedding Pavilion.

Erica looked at her phone and said “Oh my God, it’s 4:50!” Danny turned around, knowing I would panic, but my only response was “But I need to use the bathroom!”

Danny explained that we were behind schedule because of the limo hold up. They had decided to just let us run behind schedule, because it wasn’t fair to us to cut our portraits short. Everyone at Disney had been very good at hiding the delay from me. I knew the limo was late, but I never realized how much it pushed everything back. No one ever let on that we were off schedule or made me feel rushed. Anyway, the ceremony wouldn’t start until I was ready, so I just put it out of my mind.

Regina pulled me aside to let me know the coach was waiting out front. I had explained to her over the phone that the coach was a surprise for Carley. I was probably more excited for this than anything that day, except the ceremony. Regina suggested I have Carley walk outside with her eyes covered. Then, when we were close, she would cue me to have Carley look at the surprise. I agreed (I also can’t wait to see this on our video!)

We waited a few moments for the photographers to get a head start, then I explained to Carley that I had a surprise for her. She covered her eyes and I led her by her shoulder. My MOHs didn’t know about the coach either, and they both gave a loud "Oooh!" when we neared the lobby doors.

We walked outside.

I couldn't believe how big the coach was. I had seen a hundred pictures of it, but it's surreal in person. Long and elegant and regal. You know that feeling when you start down Main Street and see the castle? It's like that, but with romance and wild fantasy laced in. And of course, it's there just for you.

A crowd of people had gathered to watch us. They were parted, half on each side, standing very quietly and politely. I couldn't believe how many people were waiting just to watch.

Regina gave me a thumbs up, and I told Carley to look at our surprise.

She let out a huge gasp. The look of pure joy on her face made tears well in my eyes. She's such a sweet wonderful girl, I really wanted her to know that magical things can happen.

She looked up at me, and I said "It's here just for us."
