WISH Team structure and organization (All team members please read)

OH MY GOD!!!!:scared:

I NEED A MARGARITA PLEASE SCOT!!!!!
Can you handle that, maybe more than one, and if I could please I'll take it over in Mexico by the lagoon, I'm ready to watch my fav (and AmyBeth's) night time spectacular........... Illuminations: Reflections of Earth..

Please..... lets try to be positive and open. I like this group alot and I just found you guys in February and I want things to work out. Lets give feedback and ideas. I think no one wants to dictate anyone around here.(no one could dictate me - I'm a redhead!!) I think making things easier to navigate around the WISH world makes it better for everyone!!!:grouphug:

   -my bananas dance all the time!!

Personally, I have a bottle of champagne and a bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc chilling. When my 2 ladies walk in the door they'll see what's in the fridge and think they chose the right husband/father.

Thanks Scott and Amy, for pointing the discussion in the right direction, given my computer clock says it's 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Craig

It is almost 5pm here and all I need is the music, parrots, palmtrees, a nice ocean breeze and a hammick. (or like I said before, sitting outside Mexico with a Margarita watching Illuminations, and maybe enjoying a Churro!!) YUM either way.
Everybody please have a nice evening!!

I'm glad to see this has completely degenerated into a happy hour discussion. As the instigator of this mess, I'll buy the first round! I don't think I'll be needing a glass...someone just pass me the bottle.

What I would ask from this point is just a little bit of trust. I think we're near ready to pilot a single sticky that will consolidate all the current stickies and bring all the info together. Then we can see what everyone thinks!

BTW, thanks for the headsup on the email posting deal, Bill. I had no idea! That will certainly make me think before pullling the trigger on the post button.

Oh and PandaDave, my apologies for misatributing the pacing idea. I thought Shell was talking about liberalizing the pacing requirements and thought that one was yours based on the previous TOT discussions last fall.

It's 5:07 here now! Margarita please - on the rocks, no salt.

I have not been around here for a long time, and I don't feel strongly attached to things being any particular way. That said, what I have loved about finding this board and connecting with all of you is both the unconditional support here for all of us moving our fitness to the next level, and the expertise of many of you when people have questions and concerns. The celebrations of people's victories is genuine, and the comfort and concern when people have challenges is moving.

I have had a lot of experience on various forums, most of them disney-related, and I have never seen more welcoming, friendly and genuinely interesting place. We're up to something here, and all the discussion is intended to forward what we are up to.

I do trust the people on the committee, and I am pretty darn sure that they will not make any major changes that will effect the spirit of this group. I read the ideas on the first page as just that - ideas. Some of them I liked and some of them I thought were unnecessary. I'll try to get back to comment on those specifics later. I appreciated seeing them laid out like that so that I could think about them all at once. I'm sure things will continue to evolve, and I am happy to be part of the discussion.

I do want to answer one specific question - I actually have no idea how I found the WISH boards! I've been on the DIS for years and years (almost entirely as a lurker - you guys have cured me of that!), and I think I read a reference to the Disney Marathon weekend and realized that there HAD to be a forum on the Dis that discussed that, so I searched it out. But it really is not that easy to find - it sure would have helped me to have found it a year and a half ago when I first tried the C25K program unsuccessfully.

My success this time around is definitely due to finding this board, and getting the support that I needed. I am here for the long haul, and can't wait to meet you guys next January (and maybe some sooner than that!).

It's 5 'o clock somehwere..

Here.

Now.

I (We) all need SOMETHING!!!!!!

And, BTW, just to further add to the controversy....................

James Bond is WRONG!!!!!!!

Martinis are supposed to be stirred, not SHAKEN. Get the spoon BELOW the ice & stir gently. It does not get diluted that way. It does if you shake.

OK. Flame away.

I can take it.

Here, I have something for ya'll........

Sorry, but I drank it already, but there's more if you need it.
(Yes, I am wearing my "rogue" i2i shirt, that's what I'm callin it)

Have a good evening and keep the line open!!

Boy, did I read that word wrong the first time around. :rolleyes1

You did what to the pacing idea?! :scared1:

Ok, out of the gutter, Vic. :lmao:

Straight from "Auntie Mame:"

Stirred, never shaken, bruises the gin.

Martha and I (well almost 100% her) are making tortilla soup and cooking with wine. The wine goes into the cook (and her sous chef), not the soup.

Sorry, Vic...I have to stop making up words :thumbsup2 I hate to be such a girl, but I don't get what you read :confused3 I've been trying to mix up the letters......

Hey look, Craig and Martha brought wine and soup! Do chips and salsa go with that?

Ahhhh, but to further fan the flames..........................

Straight from DrinkBoy.com:

"A Martini, and in fact any clear cocktail, is properly prepared by stirring and not shaking."

"Cocktails should be cold, the colder the better. And for this, shaking is the preferred choice. It is easier to chill a drink down by shaking it, then by stirring it."

"So, shaking is better then stirring, right? Well, no. Stirring has an important benefit over shaking."

It goes on to say that in terms of clarity & dilution, stirring is superior to shaking. Shaking caught on because bartenders can churn 'em out faster that way.

But the bottom line is if you like 'em shaken, it's ok by me.

But Bond was still wrong (IMO). And remember what "Q" said............ "It's better to be cleverer than you look than to look cleverer than you are..."

A true Genius. Words to live by.

Ok, the hijacked thread will now be allowed to land.......................

Trying to be the good girl now are you. ;) Think of an action that is not family friendly to be posting that happens to sound close to your word. Actually both boys and girls can do it.

Bill
