WISH Discount at Runningskirts.com CONTINUES for ONE WEEK (May 20)

HI guys!!! When I got home last night, my skirts were in! Yay! The Mini dot is cute, but that style just doesn't fit my shape right now. It's a size 6 and I'm sending it back... The other one was the black athletic style w/ the shorts underneath. That one fit great! The shorts are bit lose and the waist could be taken in just a bit for a better fit. I think I'm going to have my mom take a "tuck" in the shorts to make them tighter and do the same in the waist of the skirt. I can't down a size or it would be too tight on my tummy...Not a pretty site! :goodvibes I was actually surprised at how well it fit!!! I'm so excited!

I hope everyone is having a good experience with theirs. I really had my doubts they would fit me. I'm so glad I found a style that works!

I ordered the black with white stripe. I only ordered one because I wasn't sure of the sizing and I'm not used to a skirt with a brief. I only have the ones with the compression shorts from another company.
I was a little nervous about how the 20% credit would work. But shortly after ordering I got my confirmation email then a little while later the "credit'' email came through.

I just noticed that I got my WISH credit back too. :cool1:

After 20 minutes of PayPal not wanting to let me change my billing options or address I finally ordered my skirt! Just one, the running skirt in chocqua. I figured this gives me plenty of time to order another if I decide I love it. It's still too cold here to wear it out though, me thinks.

I wore my compression shorts today for my 6 mile and they did very good. Had some rubbing from the seams on the thighs. I am going to try Body Glide there next time, but that seam may "soften' with a few runs through the washer too.

Overall a good skirt. Once I run in the brief I am going to order at least one more!

Just ordered my athletic skirt in chocolate. Thanks for getting the group discount. :yay:

Oh, just a tip to those of you new to skirts, I never dry mine. I let them air dry - I am afraid of them snagging.

Here's a question: Are you supposed to wear underwear with the ones with the built in briefs??

Becky

is this TMI? lol. but I never wear undies with my running shorts with the built in briefs. its much more comfy for me. I suppose its whatever works for you.

my new skirt arrived on Friday and I LOVE it. it is a bit shorter in length than my new balance one but it looks awesome!! I have a 5k race this weekend so my plan is to break it out for its racing debut.

Yay! I got my Minnie skirt this weekend!

As for teh underwear discussion, I'm thinking teh briefs that come with the Minnei one are a bit brrzie for no undies. A somewhat loose mesh-type fabric.

So, I just broke down and bought a maternity running skirt. Probably too big right now, but I can't predict my needs by the Minnie... and I just ate some cookies. :rolleyes1 Promise me if I'm still wearing it by whatever replaces the Minnie next year, you will all stage a WISH intervention!

All the pictures on the web site show these skirts as sitting way below the waist. Is that the case? I definitely am an "old fogie" on this--I just hate stuff sitting below the waist (get too low and you can see my nice vertical C-section scar!)

Maura

Hi Maura...

I'm not sure if I bought too small...but mine sits WAY low on the waist. For reference, I typically wear a size 4 petite so I bought the size 2 running skirt. I love the material...it's silky and very comfy. But the skirt easily sits about 2 inches below my waist if not a little more than that. I think the athletic cut style sits a little higher up on the waist based on what they said in the video. I probably should have bought that style since I may feel like tugging my skirt up all the time LOL!

This is what I'm thinking. Thanks for the replies. I was a little hesitant to ask  I can't wait to get mine!

So, I did my LR today in the running skirt. I put body glide on my thighs, but I still have a nice chaffed area on my thighs. I wore the athletic skirt to walk the other day, but I still had rubbing too. I don't know what to do. I might have to find some tight compression shorts to go under the running skirt, since i like the length of the running one.

Maura - Most skirts fit below teh waist. My triks that I wore Sunday was about the highest I've found. However, my shirts tend to cover up anything I don't want shown.

Morgan - I love my UA compression shorts. I plan on wearing those with my Minnie skirt.

Maura - I bought the athletic skirt and it sits a little below the waist but not so much that it feels like it's falling off. Actually is quite comfy.

I'm rather short, but the athletic skirt fit great for me. It was not too low on the waist for me. I bought one of each and the running skirt just didn't do it for me. I could tell it was cut a bit differently. The girls on the video looked really tall to me so I crossed my fingers they would fit.

My shorts underneath kept riding up, but I think it's because they were too lose. I'm planning on asking my mom to take them in just a bit right there at the bottom to see if that will help keep them down.

yep the running skirt does seem to be meant to sit low on the waist. I originally wasnt a big fan of low waist shorts etc. but when I started running longer distances I found myself rolling over the waistband in my shorts to make them sit lower. it was more comfortable for me. I wear longer length shirts to cover my stomach becuase its not somethign I want to be showing off! LOL
