Wireless Aircard Rental

Has anyone rented a wireless aircard vs paying for inroom internet at WDW. The two main companies I have looked at are: aircard.com and daypasswireless.com
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How long are you planning on renting it for? These rates aren't that much cheaper than the in room internet charges and then you have the hassle of mailing it back.

1-3 days: $ 9.79 per day
4-8 days: $ 8.79 per day
9-12 days: $ 7.79 per day
13-14 days: $ 6.79 per day
15-18 days: $ 5.79 per day
19+ days: $ 4.79 per day


Your air card will ship using United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail® at the rate of $ 4.95 each way (2-3 days transit time) .

I prefer a rental wireless card. If your company is paying, maybe you could go the wireless rental room way.

They give you a prepaid mailer for returning the card. I don't think there's much hassle there. It could be convenient.

As for the cost, it's $9.95 for a 24 hour use of wired internet at most Disney resorts, so it would be less expensive than paying for internet, and you have the added convenience of being able to go wireless.

All in all, I think it's an interesting concept, and I'm going to keep it in mind for my next trip.

The qote I received was $7.11/day plus s/h($10.00). Not bad, plus we'd have the use on our travel down and back as we'll be driving. Not using for work--personal use. After our son goes down for the night(early) we can catch up on email, the boards etc!
Just was wondering if anyone had used these companies before?

For a long time we had a wireless air card (and it did travel to WDW on more than one occasion. We had very poor reception at the POP and CBR. My DD was in college at the time and we finally had to get the in-room internet because she had some work that had to be completed and in while we were in WDW. Our wireless reception was so unreliable (kept getting knocked off) that we did not trust it for something as important as schoolwork. FYI - This was an AT&T card.

There are still a lot of areas at WDW where you cannot get decent cell phone reception, including in several of the Resorts. Unless you know which wireless service they are actually using you may have found you have a problem.
