Winter Snow Storm

im in ne wi by the lake and sense monday we have had almost 4 feet of snow
im getting sick of running the snow blower
i think it has neraly let up but now the wind has picked up
they closed my shop today
the kid didnt have school yesterday and last night they clanceld classes for today

Our snow update:

This morning my DH got up really early to head out to work. Our drive was cleared (we live in a condo so the association has a company that shovels our driveways), but once he got around to our street, he got stuck. The town cleared our main street in our subdivision, but non of the side streets, which have about 2 feet of snow . He had to shovel the car out and then called his boss which said to go ahead and take the day off because everyone else is snowed in too. As for the weather now, it is still blowing and snowing outside....not sure what we are due to get today, just know that we will all be inside nice and toasty

Madison Wi here...We are buried. Luckly the snow drifted away from our garage so a fourth of the driveway is clear but the rest has snow is upt tp my shoulders. We have a snow blower but it is not 5 ft tall! We will be movign snow for days.

I live in central jersey by the jersey shore, and we got NO snow today or yesterday. today was actually 50 degrees and the warmest it's been in a while... the snow from the previous storms this month is finally melting!

Where abouts? I'm in Monmouth County. I don't think we quite hit 50 but def upper 40's. How much ice did you get overnight? Took me 15 minutes to scrape it off my car. I know south Jersey was near 60!!!! A month and a half til spring!!!!

The snow turned my trip into a complete nightmare. My flights were cancelled six times! I had to rebook on new airlines and completely change my itinerary. I was on the phone for about 9 hours total--what a pain! From what I can tell, no more flights should be delayed as of now, since the snow stopped quite a while ago. I sure hope so--my BF is flying back into Boston to go to Disney with me at 6PM tomorrow! I had to call Disney and change my booking to move everything back a few days, and in doing so I was forced to change from AKV Jambo to Kidani--something I didn't want, but I guess the second bathroom in our 1BR Villa will be nice!

I'll just be that much happier once we touch down in Orlando!

Hey Steve, I just wanted to reassure you that you'll LOVE Kidani! Although you'll have to travel for Boma and/or Jiko, Kidani has an awesome pool, terrific savannah, more cozy feel and, if you haven't tried it yet, you MUST try Sanaa! It's our favorite restaurant in all of WDW...ask for a window seat during daylight so you can watch the african wildlife while you at! You'll also get an empty bus - always a seat since all of them (except DTD) stop at Kidani first!

that was Lake Shore Drive........
a main route many drive daily.

it is just off of Lake Michigan.


if you think those pics are bad, you should see it during rush hour......


i'm north of the city and have snow drifts 5' 8" in my yard.
