Winter shoes for girls - not sneakers

I'm trying to find some shoes to take for DD 6 on our January trip. Preferably something she can wear with dresses since that is all she seems to want to wear these days. Her foot is on the narrow side, so crocs have never worked for us. Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable, non-sneaker option?

Have you looked at anything by Keds? I know you said you didn't want sneakers, but they make some very comfortable non-sneaker looking shoes. They have T-strap, Mary Jane, and sandal style shoes that are as comfortable as sneakers but will work with dresses. My youngest daughter lived in the t-strap version for about 4 years straight. They have a lot of the styles at zappos.com

Try searching on Zappos first for "mary jane", then narrow your search to "sneakers/athletic". I know, I know...you said no sneakers, but have a look first...this category is cute and durable. This category tends to be very comfortable for walking and playing, and goes with dresses. Jumpin Jacks, Jambu, Merrell, Keen, Cienta, and Pedipeds are some good brands.

Also... stride rite, and Naturino have some good styles in the walking shoe/wear with a dress category.

I agree with the previous poster that mentioned stride rite. They have a great selection of dress casual shoes.

Another vote for stride rite. They look like dress shoes on the outside and sneakers on the inside.

I like TOMS. You don't really need "winter" shoes.

Also got some CUTE suede sneakers at old Navy that look adorable with dresses. Converse-like sneakers work well with dresses too.

I like the stride rite as well! Comfy like sneakers for walking but cute enough to go with dresses

Another vote for stride rite - my daughter is wearing a pink sparkly mary-Jane style that is as comfortable as sneakers. Also - will she wear sparkly light up sneakers? DD1 (5) has super sparkly pink ones that light up that she wears with her princess dresses. I also vote for Keen for comfy water shoes.

another vote for Stride Rite, my DD is a girly girl, so she refuses to wear most sneakers, i got her these and she loves them!

Pedipeds shoes. Super comfortable and look great with princess dresses. There are even some super sparkly shoes that have a coating over the sparkle. My 8 and 4 year old wore these in gold and silver sparkle on our trip with dresses. They have a Memory Foam insole, and you get a second, thinner insole to switch out when the shoes get too small.

I know you said Crocs have never worked but I wasn't sure if you tried these. Both my kids have narrow feet and these fit them perfectly:
