Both of them deceived you. That’s only true if they suspend the incentive for everyone.I did speak to another guide and got the same answer.
I was going to purchase anyway and a current direct member. Maybe it’s a new thing?Sales tactic
A new lie perhapsI was going to purchase anyway and a current direct member. Maybe it’s a new thing?
From the threads I've seen on this forum it sounds to me like some of the newer guides are using more traditional timeshare tactics to get sales. Maybe I'm just lucky but my guide has never pressured me with any of these tactics.I was going to purchase anyway and a current direct member. Maybe it’s a new thing?
My guide said that once she tells me the current incentives and pricing then I have to buy within 7 days if I want that priceMy guide has been doing this for awhile and we go over all possible discounts. So I have the information I need and then doesn't send me the official sales until I say yes then we make it official.
We will just miss ya! Heading down this week for our first Grand Villa stay. Got both sets of grandparents coming and making full "wow" factor on what could easily be the last chance for them all to travel with us. Feels like one of those "this is why we got DVC" moments ahead for us.You are an inspiration! Love the meme. I have also been giving thought to picking up direct CCV points and keeping my resale, at least for now. I've also been eyeing enough points for cabin or GV stays there - well, not every year, but maybe every other year. I personally find there to be a lot of benefits to having a lot of points at one or two resorts as opposed to lots of points at different resorts.
We're checking in on 1/31 for 7 nights and going to do an in-person tour with our guide that week. Going to try to push out that "yes" date as far as I can to save on a few days worth of prorated dues. And, maybe I'll come to my senses too. Haha.
Feb. 9th.When does this round of inventives end?
Same. A lot of people recommend having a lot of different home resort for pirority. I rather have it all at one place to book larger rooms.I personally find there to be a lot of benefits to having a lot of points at one or two resorts as opposed to lots of points at different resorts.

I know its a bunch of fluff but im purchasing anyways now so whatever
Weird since they can make your formal meeting a phone call and if incentives havent changed then you get what you saw then. That's actually not fluff... it's real, at least in some cases.
I got to experience it myself where I was ready to write a check and they said no because it was over 7 days since we had a formal meeting at WDW.
If at first you dont succeed..That's actually not fluff... it's real, at least in some cases.

I'm not sure it's in the same category as a phone call with your guide, or a group meeting at SSR or Disney Springs.
This was a (scheduled) meeting with a guide, more because we wanted to look at the renovated rooms at a certain resort. We were shown some points charts and were told the offer is good for 7 days... I had the same reaction - FOMO, but when I called after a couple of weeks with serious interest about one of the actively-sold resorts, I was told they can't honor current prices and that I'd have to wait until the next round of incentives.
Well that is insane and not what I experienced or others. I honestly would have thought twice abut buying DVC at all if they pulled that with me.I'm not sure it's in the same category as a phone call with your guide, or a group meeting at SSR or Disney Springs.

If I was an owner I would've burned my DVC house to the ground if they told me that. If non owner I would have had such a sour taste in my mouth I would've sent a scathing email and been done with even considering it. But I am a hot head.I'd definitely contemplate a new guide, that's for sure!
