Just letting you know that I had a problem at am airport hotel in Winnipeg - I left my vehicle for a week in the lot as a stay/park/fly while I went to visit my mom in N.B. and my vehicle was broken into and some idiots tried to steal it! right in front of the security cameras and with the car alarm going off.
My vehicle has anti-theft protection (on-board computer) and I guess the computer shut it down and they could not steal it, however, they did do a lot of damage to the steering column and rifled through my stuff (probably looking for an extra key).
Tow truck driver told me that since the bus depot moved out to the airport, theft and vandalism to vehicles in the area has increased and they have done a lot of tows in the area where the airport hotels are!!! Winnipeg is, after all, the vehicle theft capital of Canada.
BUT......In two weeks, I'll be on my way to Disney World with my hubby and my 2 daughters.
