Wow it's been over a month since I updated, sorry! The only excuse I have is, life!
On with the show................................
Thanks to horrible pain and a hair raising trip to a florida dentist I had just "tossed my cookies" onto the ground right after getting off the bus at Epcot after a day at Ak. If you want to hear more about that you can check out my tr, the links in my sig.(I know that was a shameless plug, bad winkers, bad bad!)
I was a little worried about this AR for a few reasons. Prior to my mishap it was that my boys tend to be very picky and Morrocan food isn't anything like what they're used to. I also was worried that I wouldn't be able to eat anything and enjoy what had been my favorite restraunt from my last trip.
So in preparation as I was being wheeled into world showcase I gave the kids a little pep talk and said just try everything once and don't complain and we'll all be happy. And much to my amazement they agreed! Normally that would be cause for suspicion but I was on a huge dose of drugs at this time.
I just have to say I LOVE the morrocan pavilion. It's probably as close as I'll get to going their in my lifetime so I just love it. And I noticed that the CM's there are gorgeous! I thought about taking pictures of them but didn't want to embarass my family.
Ok, onto the food!
D.Jay, Evan , Bailie and I all ordered the "Taste of Morroco" which consists of Harira soup, Beef Brewat Rolls, Lemon Chicken, Lamb , Couscous with 7 vegetables & Assorted Morrocan pastries.
None of us like Lamb so we were able to substitute Shish Kebab's.
Ethan & Hunter got the Kefta & ice cream. The kefta is basically a hamburger with fries. They didn't have an appetizer option so they shared with us.
This is the Harira Soup. Had I noticed that the description says it contains Lamb I never would have tried it. I'm really glad I didn't because it's delicious!! I ate all of mine and some of Bailie's! Along side it is the Beef Brewat Roll. Basically it's minced beef in pastry fried and topped with pwd sugar and cinnamon. This sounds really odd but we all loved them! Even Hunter the pickiest eater gave this 2 thumbs way up!
This is Lemon Chicken, Couscous & Shish Kebab.
I had never tried couscous before this and Loved it. It came with roasted veggies on top that were perfect. The beef melts in your mouth and the Lemon chicken was wonderfull.
Here's the Kefta. The boys didn't eat much of it because they were too busy eating our food. And there was plenty. It was served family style.
Morrocan pastries. These are heaven on a plate! They are similar to baklava. When D.Jay and I went there on our own last year he looked like he was having a "moment" unto himself when he took a bite of these!!! He really isnt' much of a dessert person like me but these made his day. And luckily they were just as good the second time around.
Here's a few more shots from our dinner. I give this place an A+! The atmosphere is wonderfull along with the live band and belly dancer. And the food is amazing. This will be one place we definatley return to.
This is how D.Jay and Hunter feel about dessert
