I teach a group of girls that devour the books -- some have read them 3 or 4 times. Whenever a new one comes out, my own children have to live off of gummy worms and pop tarts until I finish it!

Evan & Bailie got me into reading them. It took a little over a week for me to finish the first one....only because we were in disneyworld when I started it. Then I spent about a day and a half on the other 2!

I am really impressed that Evan read them! Usually boys shy away from books labeled as "chick lit."

Do you know Stephenie Meyer has a new book out called Host that is not part of the Twilight series? It sounds like an interesting premise.

Evan works as a library assitant for a period each day........he's like me....always reading! Several of his "girl" friends told him about the first book and how good it was...........he was hooked! I can't believe he wants to go to the movie with friends when it comes out and not me!
I bought the Host last week, but told Evan he could read it first......so now I have to wait.

I'm not sure. I am just assuming that she will end the series if/when Bella gets turned. Perhaps she will write more though, who knows.

At 5:15 a.m. it's finally time to bored "de" plane! Once we are on the plane with our seatbelts tightly fastened, it's official. We're going to DisneyWorld!! Evan and I were the last 2 of our group to get on and we noticed a guy in the cockpit taking a picture of the pilot................................FlashDance.........

I mean.......FlashBack..........

The morning before we left as D.Jay and I were packing I mentioned that I'd love to see if Evan could meet the pilot. He has always been interested in planes but the last year he's decided he wants to be a pilot. ................................................................................

Ok, so the flight attendant looks at us and asks Evan if he'd like to talk to the pilot! Score! Pixiedust BEFORE we even get to disney! Evan spent about 10 minutes in there. I really wanted to go get the camera from D.Jay but I knew I'd never make it back up the isle............kinda like swimming upstream. While Evan was up there, the lights went out inside the plane, along with the air and there were a few strange noises. When Evan got back he said the Pilot was showing him how some things work.

The boys sat together in the row behind D.Jay, Bailie, & I. I don't remember much from our 2 flights.........neither does Ethan. He slept almost the entire time for both flights! Looks like my brilliant idea of sleep deprivation may have been a success...........but we still have half a day to get through!

It was around 4p.m. when we landed in Orlando......hello sunshine! We had our longest wait ever for the magical express bus, but it was only about 20 minutes, so not too bad. We got on the bus and I looked at D.Jay and said" I still can't believe we're here!" Ethan was sitting behind us.........he reached up put his arms around D.Jay's neck and said "I love you Daddy! Thanks for taking us to DisneyWorld!"

D.Jay melted into a puddle! His eyes go misty as he said to me "that makes it all worth while!" So sweet!

I don't have any pictures from this part of the trip! If you know me that is shocking because I'm a shutterbug! My family gets annoyed with all the pictures I take!

I'm sorry.....this was a realy lame update! If you feel asleep while reading this and consequently drooled all over your keyboard.....I totally understand!

I am glad you posted an update. I hope your dad is feeling better. I know it can be really hard when your parents aren't doing well. Two years ago I had my dad in the hospital in New Orleans (two hours away from where we live) and my mom in the hospital at home. My brother and I had to split up to take care of them. My dad had open heart surgery and my mom had bladder cancer. I will be praying for your family especially your dad.

How cool getting to meet the piolt. I am glad you all got to sleep on the plane. I really can't wait until the next update.
