**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

Today has been a real sad day for me...it's the 33rd anniversary of my mom's death. I spent the first half of the day laying in bed feeling sorry for myself. Then it was time for the kids to be home and my taxi service to start. As I was shuttling one kid to soccer and wishing I could just go back home and hide, I realized how blessed I am that I GET to do these things for my kids, because my mom didn't get that chance.
It's funny to me that this date affects me so much, when I don't even remember it happening, but it does. Every year it's like a little dark cloud hangs over me, but luckily I have family and friends who keep me from hiding under a rock. So, I'm taking a little break in between "taxi" runs and feeling greatful for my kids and my chance to raise them.

I want to thank all of you for your hugs! I'm feeling better, now. Some years it hits me harder than others.
Today I'll be at soccer tournaments, but i'm hoping to do an update tomorrow. Gee, maybe I'll even finish the P&PP!:rotfl2:

Hi Winkers
Well I have finally caught up with your TR - after reading 137 pages so now I am ready for a snooze.
I know what it is like losing your mum. My mum died when I was 14. I have lived more of my life without her than with her and in the last 18 years it has got easier. However once I became a mum myself it also became harder. Sending you lots of :grouphug: .
Anyway on a lighter note. As you can see I live in England and let me tell you I would rather holiday in Disney any time. Last year we went to Cornwall and after 5 days of pouring rain and cold weather (in June no less) I said to my DH please can we go home. He said no
It was on the way home from that trip that I realised that if we had been in the car for another 3 hours we could have gotten to Disney in a plane, that was when my mind was made up never again.
:yay:

The P&PP was about to start and I had one thing on my mind. Meeting capt. Jack! We had a brief romance on my last visit..............ok, so we never actually spoke, but he did caress my face and I was on painkillers at the time, so in my mind we all but..............;)

So leadig the charge I headed towards adventureland where I had early scoped out the meeting area. I was bummed. There was already a L-O-N-G line and my family was not willing to stand in the line. Personally I think D.Jay was just jealous or maybe worried that I woud make a fool of myself. So, I was out voted and we headed off to find something else to do.:sad2:

Ethan spotted the magic carpets and within a few minutes we were off on our magic carpet ride.............a whole new world, don't you dare close your eyes. Sorry, I had a vision of me and Capt. Jack............

Look who we met..........

As we were walking around adventureland, we ran into something quite unsettling................................

Victoria's got a secret.........she makes bras for camels.

My boys were emotionaly scarred from having to pose with this camel.:rotfl:

Up next..........Marking my teritory.

I laughed so hard a peed my pants, I swear.
First off you must have stunned your husband with the flash on the camera. How long did his face stay like that?
Second, I think Madonna has never looked better!:confused3 She is a bit taller than I remember??
And in the last picture, who's your DH looking at - again with the face. He either wants to choke someone or he's got to go to the Men's room.

Sorry I didn't get the update done! I got really sick and ended up puking up m toenails.
I'm feeling a little better today, so I should have the next update done tonight.

There is a strange phenomenon that occurs several times a day at DisneyWorld. It is a strange primal urge that overcomes mothers and occasionaly fathers. I'm really suprised that PBS hasn't done a documentary on it. Maybe it will be Michael Moore's next expose. What is this I'm referring to, you ask? The violent and almost uncontrollable urge..............to mark one's territory. If you have ever attened a parade, fireworks, or any type of show, you have either witnessed someone else morphing into a she-wolf ready to stake her claim, or you've experienced it yourself.

Next to my date with Capt. Jack, and we know how that went, I was excited about the P&PP parade. So like a good dis'er I staked my claim.....planted my butt.........an hour before the parade. We found a nice spot right next to the rope in front of the christmas shop in Lyberty Square. It was a good spot. I'm sure I looked like my little dogs who circle 3 times before settling in. We staked out enough spots for all of us, and then D.jay and 2 of the kids went across to get us drinks. Between the back pack, Bailie's dress, and other items I had a clear boundary. It was good.

The goodness and sense of everything being right with the world came to an abrupt end about 15 minutes before the start of the parade. Suddenly, I found that my children and I were being pushed and stepped upon as others tried to crowd in. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Nothing ticks me of more, than when I take the time to find a good spot and then someone comes in at the last minute and expects to get a good seat. I swear if I had the right "equipment" I would have stood up and "marked my territory"! D.Jay refused to.

I have a little more patience when it's a little kid pushin to get a good spot, but when the mom is behind me, weilding her stroller like a battering ram, it kinda pisses me off!

Ok, so I think you can tell I get a little irritated by this. I'm a personal space freak. I have my little bubble around me and when someone gets to close it really bugs me.

Even with the battering ram behind me and Ethan repeatedly getting his hand stepped on, we enjoyed the parade. It was well worth it!

Hunter amused himself with the confetti...

I didn't get to see as many characters as I had hoped, but we got to some.

Just so you know.......Belle won't make the Peeps sign, or stick her tongue out! d.jay asked!

Getting in touch with his femine side.....

I have mixed feelings about the P&PP. I think I might have got it too hyped up in my head. I was so excited to see all the characters, but the kids weren't really into it. The lines were longer than I had expected too. The fireworks and parade were amazing and probably worth the ticket alone. I would like to do it again, so I know a little more what to expect.
We didn't stay as late as it was open because we were all realy tired. So we headed back to the resort. AK was the next day and we decided we'd sleep in. I know, so not like me!

Up next........they got ears.................

I am the same way about marking my territory and getting ticked off at people who cram in beside us! It always happens, too! :headache:

Belle with Flat Jordan is too funny!!! :rotfl:

My favorite photo of the update has to be D.Jay and his Princess ears!!! :lmao:

I'm not sure what D.jay was looking at!

I so agree about the personal space stuff, why do people think they can just barge in

Love the photos in the chair :thumbsup2

This is one of my biggest pet peeves! Maybe I'll load the family up on chili before!;)

I totally agree about the whole personal space thing. Remember my last report with the nasty foot lady at the Playhouse Disney show? UGH!!

Anyhoo....love all the pictures. Looks like you guys had a pretty good time at the P&PP.

I am going to try to get more photopass pics next time and get the CD. We usually get the book made rather than buy the CD because we just don't have enough pic's to make it worth the price. If we don't have enough in Feb I'm sure we will on our cruise in June! One of these trips I'm getting the darn CD!!
