Might anyone have photos or prices of wine available in the resort gift stores? Wondering if I should use Instacart for the savings rather than Garden Grocer and just buy a bottle of wine on property. We won’t be available to meet the driver.

I don't have the exact prices, but when I look on the Garden Grocer website, what I see there for bottles of wine is roughly what I recall paying from the gift shop. Although the cheapest bottle was about $20, so they didn't have Yellow Tail in the gift shop. The individual wine cups are about double what Garden Grocer has, but I always found it cheaper to buy the big bottle. Just don't forget a wine opener from home!

Another option is to use the grocery delivery through Amazon. It looks like they have Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods that service the Disney area. Amazon Fresh has much better pricing on wine! I haven't use this before, so I don't know if you have to be there to accept delivery though.

We go to the Animal Kingdom gift shop for our wine. They sell the same wine that Jiko serves. The price if I remember correctly was under $15.00 a bottle. The Riesling was excellent!

Pretty much any wine/beer/liquor delivery service I have heard of requires you to be there when it is delivered as they have to verify your ID.

The wine prices are marked up a few dollars but nothing outrageous. I don’t think I’d make the effort for a delivery specifically for wine unless there is something in particular you want. You can always go on the official thread for the hotel your staying at and ask if someone can snap a pic of the wine selection/ prices in the gift shop if they are there. I’ve seen someone do that on the Poly board for another poster asking about the liquor sold in the gift shop.

If you bring a corkscrew from home make sure it's is in checked bag.
Otherwise TSA will make you get rid of it.
In the DVC villas they supply a cork screw.
Pretty sure you can request one from desk also

Actually, you can bring a corkscrew (the ones without a blade/knife) in your carry-on. I do it often and have never had an issue. I have always been baffled by this because someone could use it as a weapon, but apparently TSA does not think so.

I've always used Garden Grocer because I don't have to be there for alcohol deliveries. This trip I'm staying at AKV. Their wine prices aren't bad at all. I stayed there two years ago and was able to buy a couple of bottles for under $20.

Wow, I'm going to have to double check. I swear wine prices at the gift shop were much higher than I was willing to pay for not-so-great wine. I ended up buying a bottle in France for more than I should, but it was a pretty good wine.

I'm not sure about about other shops, but AKV wasn't too bad. We stayed there before a cruise. I had planned on stopping at Total Wine on our way to the port to pick up 2 bottles. But just bought them at AKV instead. It's probably more than you would spend in the real world, but not too crazy. Beer OTOH is more than I'm willing to spend.

The gift shop in the Jambo House building of Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas currently is closed. The gift shop in the Kidani Village part of Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas is open, but it's much smaller. I don't know what the wine selection is like in the gift shop in Kidani.

Anytime we buy wine in a resort gift shop (which is a lot more than I care to admit) we always buy screw top, so no need for corkscrew. I also drink white, so there's that.

Give the screw top a chance people. :D

that’s me lol

I agree!

I have even gotten French wines with a screw top from the wine shop in Epcot. Screw top wines are not just for cheap wines anymore.

How expensive was that wine?
