A friend of mine is looking for a sweet white wine she enjoyed at the Biergarten in Germany, but she's misplaced the name of it. It was probaly a reisling or maybe a gewurztiminer (sic). Does anyone have a copy of the wine list? I checked Deb's site, but couldn't find one.
Thanks!

Could it possibly be a Spatlese wine? There is always a certain one we buy when we are there also.

I also see you are in Middlebury, I grew up in Fair Haven, but now live in Killeen/Fort Hood, Texas.

More than likely a reisling... (auslee/spatlese), whatever..a reisling grape makes wonderfully sweet wines, to go both with dinner and some even sweeter as dessert wines.

Germany changes there wines every so often. If she would like a great reisling..just to drink, use with dinner, or use in cooking...tell her to check her local grocery store, or liquor store for a schmitt shone reisling. It is one of the best we have ever found...we found it first, many years ago in Germany at EPCOT..go figure. It is now sold all over the place...at around $7 per bottle. The bottle is blue..label..kind of goldish.

thanks, I'll pass these along!
Yes, I'm in Middlebury, but I used to live in Dallas. That's a change in weather!
small world.

We used to live in Colleyville and loved it..we definately miss the DFW area.
