was just there in Sept never been to the wine fest ..is it worth the trip is SAB still open ??????

The Food and Wine festival is a very nice event. There are all kinds of food stands with many great things to eat and drink set up all over WS and there are also great wine and beer seminars offered as well as some excellent, seperate ticket dinners and buffets offered. I just got back a week ago and I am going back for the F&W festival also, I love it so much I planned this next trip just for the F&W festival.
BTW, SAB is open year round for use of guests staying at BC/YC/BCV.

If good food is one of the reasons you vacation, then it is well worth the trip.

When we visited WDW in November two years ago, we regretted that we'd always previously visited in September. (Look at what we'd been missing!)

We're ready to go again this November. Can't wait to try again the Cuban bananas and chocolate sauce!

If you enjoy interesting food, it is well worth the trip.

I agree...if trying good food/wine/beer is what you like, then definately go. We wouldn't miss it!

I'm not sure how great it is if you are going with kids, but, IMHO, it is THE best time for grownups only. Eating is NOT our big thing when we go in the summer with the family. It's too hot, the meals are big... 1 or 2 sit downs over the course of 8 days is plenty for us. We are DVC and often eat in the room.

When we go for Food & Wine ,though, it's just DH and me. We try a little here and there, we share samples and pretty much graze our way through the Festival. We love the seminars and classes. We both like to cook, so we learn new things and get to sample wines that never make their way to Oklahoma.

Pretty hard to beat sitting on a bench watching Illuminations with a lovely glass of pink champagne at hand!

We will be there for the Food & Wine Festival this year and can't wait. Mickeyhugger -- where did you find the cuban bananas and chocolate sauce. It's been a couple of years since we've been there for this event, but I don't remember seeing that and it sounds wonderful! I wouldn't want to miss any chocolate!
