Wine @ Disney? And on the plane?

I like to have a glass or two of wine at the end of the night and since we are not bar or club patrons am just wondering if I can bring a bottle of nice wine with us to Disney? Or can we buy a bottle anywhere on Disney property? Also, can we bring it on the plane? If so, how do you pack it safely?

DH and I bought some wine in the Old Key West store when we were there 2 yrs ago. I know that some of the countries in Epcot sell it also. We bought a few bottles in Germany to bring home. We wrapped it in plastic and in clothes and put it in our luggage that was checked. We had no issues and the wine made it home safe and sound.

You can buy wine in many of the resort 'stores'. I have also brought wine from home in my carryon without a problem.

I took wine all the way to China from the U.S. I used my carry-on bag, double ziplock-style bag in case of breakage. In my case, the wine arrived safely, and we really enjoyed it while there. There were no issues in either Newark (departure) or Hong Kong (connection point) with it being in my carry-on case.

I have a Beach tote from Land's End Outlet, I wrapped in bubble wrap a bottle of champagne, Gran Marnier, and a Cabernet... and carried it on the plane, no problem. We got a grocery stop, and they had wine on sale, so I bought another bottle of Champagne!!

We have a dd8, and knew we would spend time with her, and so back at the room, we'd go over our day, write in our journal, and toast the mouse!! I have a champagne cork that keeps the champagne bubbly for a week - you can buy it in liquor stores!

We stayed at the Polynesian, and got an order from Kona to go, and had the Cab with that - dd just was overloaded!! We also took our wine out by the pool, I bought a roll on soft sided cooler!! (it was wonderful for the beach/TL day!!)

I would carry it on, rather than risk it breaking. My sister put a bottle of Kaluha in her suitcase on the way home from her honeymoon and it broke. Ruined all the clothing inside and the suitcase itself. And, probably leaked onto other people's bags as well.

I did bring back home a bottle of Rosé from the Polynesian Resort (that wine was AMAZING), and it did not break in my luggage. I asked the girl at the airport counter if I should put it in my carry-on, and she said it would be fine if very padded in my suitcase. Plus, when we drank it, it was like drinking a little bit of WDW!

I dont think they allow wine on the plane, but I've senn wine sold at some of the Deluxe Resorts. to pack it safely, it think if you filled the cooler with ice, put the bottle in, and then put ice on top, and around the bottle I would think it would be fine.

We bought a bottle at Epcot-Italy and flew home with it in our carry-on wrapped in a beach towel.
