And then we went to the airport. Finding the rental drop off is always so hard but we do it.
And then check in. We were worry about tsa lines but the tsa pre check line was short. Then we walk to the mini monorail and there is a lot of confusion.... we found out we are walking a long way along the train outside! My mom is hurting... we ask employe if they have wheel chair or something to help out. He tried calling for help... but they are all booked!! Eep... the walk is long line they are handing us water.... u have to walk in single file cause the other side is coming down the other way... now time for the long walk in the heat.
My poor mom slowly was backing up the pathway. I let people know behind her the issue and how we tried to get a wheel chair. Everyone was patient at least.
And we made it! Poor mom is hurting. We check in to untied club. Grab a seat. I get mom water and snacks so she can rest.
And there we wait.
We adventually board the plane and we get full fold down seats in this plane!! Nice!!
Drink time!
So our airpilot let us know we are delayed... govt shutdown with not enough air traffic controllers and now rain slowing us down...
So we wait on the tarmac.... now everything is closed... they are not letting anyone leave and we are staying on the tarmac so we can stay in line so we can go when the window opens for us. I never been soo happy to be in first class. Relaxing at least in a comfy chair with drinks. We are soo backed up now some of our crew will time out eep... our pilot says he is timing out but lives in Houston soo we are going to Houston now and will switch out crew there... he said he is sorry for the unplanned stop but he promised us he will do everything in his power to make it out of here... soo fun. A small window opens int he storm... a few planes are given permission to go and ours is one of them and we are off!
So now we make an unplanned stop at Houston. They makes us all debored the plane. Alot of people missed their connection flights soo some are going to try to get a connection flight here. We will no longer get our hot dinner on our flight so I go and find some food for us to eat. Nothing great just a basic sandwich. I did see this cool sign though.
Then we get all of our crew and we fly to Denver!! We were suppose to land at 5pm and we landed at 12:30 am... soo a lot later. But we made it out. I was just checking social media of alot of other rundisney peeps and so many people did not even make it out that night.
Soo that is the trip! Man it was full of highs and lows...but no matter what had another great trip to disney. I love running through it. It has kept me working out through the years when normally I have given up at this point and man did we enjoy alot of food and drinks which is perfect for the wine and dine rundisney event.
I now sadly will have to wait a whole another year to run here again...
