I've tried In N Out twice now. First time I think my expectations were too high and I was very much "meh" about it. Second time was better.

Not bad for a chain burger.

I love In n Out because it's better than what we have here on the East coast. Plus it's cheap and fresh, so that can't be beat! Have you tried the burgers or fries animal-style? the BEST.

Oh. That doesn't speak well for DVC, actually.

DVC is meant for people who really really don't mind doing long term Disney planning, which is 99% of the DISboards and the other 1% is @kastoney.

I'm curious. Was food included in the $70 ticket to the event or did you have to pay for what you ate from the food booths? I know I'm frugal, but that price seems rather steep.

No food was included. It was so disappointing. It was like paying for EMH. I know now that I will not go to any of these race events. I'd rather pay for EMM or the AFter Hours instead.

November 6th: The Last Day

OK Everyone, it's (finally) the last day of our 2017 Food and Wine trip!

That morning we checked out of the Swan, our flight was at around 5pm and we were going to Uber at around 3pm. We left our luggage with bell services and took a walk back to Epcot. I thought I'd get my last fill of Food and Wine before we had to leave.

We got a picture in the Boardwalk photobooth on the way.

And once we got into Epcot we got one of our last few Photopass pics

Dunno why the photograph makes it look like a cloudy day but I remember it being a perfectly nice day!
I picked up the shirt I was wearing on the cruise the previous week. Thought it was a cute blend of Minnie and sailor

Even though it was after rope drop, Epcot was nice and empty which was a nice change from what it was last night!

I believe that Steve ran to do TT or Soarin' on standby because the wait was pretty low, but I wanted some breakfast plus I had my last DISmeet! So I headed to my favorite spot in World Showcase:

Where I opted to get a new favorite: The Roule au Lardon et Fromage - which is basically a roll with bacon and cheese.

You can ask them to heat it up for you, and it's the perfect little (actually quite large) breakfast pastry! It's not flaky, but the bread is more like a baguette so it's not delicate but definitely more hearty i.e. great for me.

After my late breakfast it was time for my DISmeet! I finally got to meet Ashley (@ashw100) who was there on a combined work/lesiure trip
We met up as she was walking towards International Gateway and I walked towards Future World, so we met up at UK!

We chatted about our trips, and I was bummed that it was my last day but really it was an amazing trip and our 2nd to last trip for 2017 (read about all my other 7 trips in my signature links). It was great meeting you Ashley! You look great and I hope we get to meet again in the future!

I met up with Steve and we did our Soarin' FP, then we went to The Seas because I had to say hi to my Manatees.

Then it was back to The Land for our LWTL FP. When we walked through the line, I took this selfie with the funky wall pattern.

After The Land we got some F&W eats.

This was the Loaded Mac n Cheese from Active Eats: Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Nueske’s® Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers and Green Onions.

We also got the: M.I.A. Beer Company HRD WTR Cucumber & Lemon Lime Hard Sparkling Water. I wasn't sure how hard water would taste like but it was actually very refreshing, like a vodka seltzer with lemon. VOdka sodas are my drink of choice, so it worked for me.

I found out I could also refill my popcorn bucket with flavored popcorn, at the kiosk that is near The Land and Figment.

I opted for classic cheese but there was also caramel and I think some sort of buffalo flavor which I didn't try. I am usually a popcorn purist but the cheddar was a nice change. Next time I'm going to see I can do a blend of caramel and cheddar. It's a yummy combo!

On the way to World Showcase, we headed to the Disney Visa character spot. i love how Mickey is pulling his tie!

From Islands of the Caribbean, I got another one of my favorite Quesitos: Puff Pastry with Sweetened Cream Cheese and Guava Sauce

They are so good!

We met up with our new friend, Jeff one last time. He was working that day in Epcot.

Hope to catch up with him one day but we haven't seen him working Epcot in a while. He does work all the Run Disney races so if any of you need an EMT...it may be Jeff!

Our eating continued. We went to Hawaii where I got the: Teriyaki-glazed SPAM® Hash with Potatoes, Peppers and Onions and Spicy Mayonnaise which I had enjoyed previously.

And at Patagonia: This was mostly Steve's choice. I opted to only get wine.

I think I got the Pinot. Tiny cup tho!

We were definitely saving ourselves for one of our favorites...the Fish n Chips at Yorkshire County Fish Shop! I believe there was also a beer to go along with it (not pictured).

We met up with my friend Betsy ad her BF Kris and we sat and ate at a table under the shade. It was getting quite warm that day so we were thankful for the little respite before we head to officially leave the park! Sadly we didn't get a last picture with them but it was good to see them again before we had to leave.

Then it was walk back to the Swan where we gathered our luggage and took an Uber to the airport.

And like that, our trip was over!

We had an amazing week of Food and Wine gastronomy! We went to Victoria and Albert's, had a divine French Meal at Monsieur Paul, went to my favorite restaurants, Ohana, Tiffins, Yachtsmans, and Citrico's. We went to our first MNSSHP, and we ran a 5k! And we had the pleasure of meeting many of my DISboard friends that week! I don't know if anything will top that week so far, although our EPIC Girls Trip (which is not only girls) in May is a contender!

For our next trip, we're set to head back to WDW at the end of February 2019 (Feb 23-March 3) for my birthday. This trip is decidedly more low-key for now. I haven't done too much crazy planning. I don't even have ADRs for our first day (thinking of just doing a lot of quick service or Disney Springs). I do have the Wild Africa Trek booked for my birthday though! I'll start a new trip report for that. In the meantime you can continue reading my Crazy DIS Asians TR from last Sept!
