Time to start planning our next holiday :cool1:

We are going to try doing Florida without theme parks and thought it would be good for the kids if we could do something like Windsurfing lessons for a few days, has anyone ever done this anywhere in Florida?

Any info would be appreciated

Edinburgh bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr -9 last night.

I hired a winsurf board at key largo, I took lessons before I went, a lot of the lessons at the start were on land.

MAybe you could get them a few lessons before you go because it is pretty difficult, well I though it was.

I cant mind seeing lessons available anywhere. Maybe someone else can help you.

Don't know about windsurfing lessons. I know they do wakeboarding near Florida mall, and that is a very cool sport. I've tried it several times at Sammy Duvall's and it's great fun. Do your kids do any board sports? Snowboarding really helped me with wakeboarding. Sorry I can't help otherwise.

if you do happen to be in the area of WDW, and if you're there after typhoon lagoon reopens, and assuming they reopen the surfing class there, we highly recommend it...

the class is at about 6 am and is about 2.5 hours long (up to park opening).

they rev up the wave pool for the class and you get really perfect surfing waves...(they have control over wave intensity...they increase the intensity for the class, so that the waves are actually at the required level for good surfing)...

the class is very well taught and lots of fun (even for the spectators)..

my kids did it two years in a row (our pictures are awesome - it looks like they're surfing in hawaii)...
