Windsor Palms

I have just found out the home we will be renting is located in windsor palms. How do you like this area? What is a good way to get to Disney from there? Any other info is appreciated!!

I will be interested in hearing how you liked it when you get back, as we will be renting there the last week of May. We decided not to get the pool heat, and the owners said we could wait until we get there and see what we think and then call the management company on the first day, and they will be out the next day if we decide we need it. So, I will also be interested in hearing if you need pool heat next week. Enjoy your trip!

I haven't stayed in Windsor Palms, but I have stayed at sub-divisions close-by. It is a new resort and very popular - I'm sure you'll be thrilled.

The best/shortest route into Disney is via the Sherberth Road. Drive up to the US192 on Sand Hill Road/Formosa Gardens Boulevard. Turn right onto 192 (travelling east). At the next set of lights (Sherberth Road/Entry Point Road) turn left onto Sherberth Road. Follow this road down to the next set of lights (about a mile - it twists around a bit, but just stick with it). At the lights, turn right and you are on WDW property. If your destination is Animal Kingdom, you will pass the entrance (on your left) after a couple of hundred yards - you need to double back on yourself. For everywhere else, just follow the signs.
