Windosr Hills Villa Rental

Hi, just back from WDW on Saturday (Yes, very sad). We stayed in a 6 bedroom home in Windsor Palms rented by allstarvacation homes. I have nothing but great things to say about their service and our house was nice, but not really nice. It needed some paint. I am just not that crazy about the area around 192. It is kind of...I don't know..icky. Are there nicer neighborhoods to rent vacation homes? Allstar only rents around 192. I want to be close to disney, I don't want anything to do with timeshares, and I want a home with a private pool and spa....Any info would be appreciated!!!! Thanks

Almost all the rental communities are off 192 in some way or another. Unless you go to the Davenport area, then you'll be about 15-20 minutes away though.

Yes, I am curious as well. We have a 6 bedroom home in Windsor Hills reserved in July and based on how new the home is I'm hoping it doesnt need paint!!

We also rented from All Star for our first trip to Orlando, last Aug. and I have nothing but raves about their service & the home we stayed in. Although it was 2 y/o, it was immaculate and well kept. The problems we experienced were so minor, I feel bad saying they were "problems" because they were address immediately.

We stayed in Acadia Estates (take a look at my signature for a link to the home we stayed in), one of the newest developments that All Star rents. Maybe if you choose a newer development next time, you'll be more satisfied.

What was so icky about the area? What did you not like about the neighborhood. I do not think the area is more then 6-7 years old but could be wrong.

192 was a great area, lots of restaurants nearby. What didn't you like about it?

Could of been the cheesy gift shops. Personally I love them...but I would imagine others consider them a bit tacky .

I'm sitting here at the moment in our rented 5 bedroom pool home in Windsor Hills, and have to say that to date (this is day 2 of 6) everything... and I mean everything has been PERFECT. House is beyond clean and immaculate. Has everything you need. Could stay here a month and not run out of towels or need to wash any. Pool is clean, heated, gated etc. Clubhouse pool area is spotless and is a tremenous pool for kids... Playground area is tremendous too. location is excellent. Can't imagine what anyone could gripe about.

Ok... guess there are two really small things... The garage doors are a little narrow to fit a minivan in as only have about 2 minches to clear the mirrors, and the front door lock is a little sticky. I guess I could also gripe about the back sliding glass door being hard to lock/unlock, but would be pushing it to even consider these real problems.

If you are even considering staying at Windsor Hills... do it. And go ahead and get a pool home b/c I can see the pools in the townhomes are about the size of a big jacuzzi, but ours is perfect.

A couple of questions, did you take the insurance, how did you find the reservation process all together any problems?

I agree with you about the 192 - kind of tacky. We stayed in Windsor Hills last month, and it was great. It was quiet, and you forget how close you are to the ugly souvenir shops.

Yeah, they are pretty bad, huh? They ALL had/sold the same thing, but it did come in handy for quick, cheap last minute gifts like t-shirts etc. When we wanted something more specific we went to the big mall (I think it was called The Florida Mall) and it was a wonderful mall.

But, for us, the 192 area was excellent for convenience/ease to & from the highways, marketing, liquor store, carry out food and almost anything we needed.

indoor swimming pool it was great!
right off 192 and we got it for 600.00 for the week in february.

I'm not sure where Lindwood estates is and would be interested to find it. I looked on VRBO and Lindfields is listed as a Kissemee community but I didnt see Lindwood. Is is part of Lindfields? Thanks.

I am sorry, I forgot the name.
when you go into lindfirlds you make the first right and then it is on the left.
very very nice area. The lady that rents them out is very very sweet.
the home was just awesome!

it was just like this but a 2 bedroom, it was cheaper but looked the exact same as this one. I cant remember the ladies name I spoke with about it but she's great!
you definately won't be disappointed with this company and these homes in the reserve which is off to the side of about 15 homes.
I think it is right off of styles blvd. or ave something like that.

We just returned from Orlando last Sunday and we stayed at Windsor Hills. We rented a 3 br 3 bath 2 story townhome- here is the address if you are interested islandlkproperties.com True the pools at the townhomes are small but my children are learning to swim so it made them feel great that they could make it from one side to the other. We only used it at night anyway. We went to the main pool each afternoon. It has a pool slide. The location is great. It never took us more than 15 minutes to make it to the parks. The homes are immaculate. We have also stayed in a 3br 2 ba condo in Windsor Palms. yourdisneycondo.com It was also immaculate. We would recommend both. Publix is 5 miles away. We shop there when we get into town. Good luck.

I didn't intend to offend anyone, yes tacky is what I meant. I guess all the inexpensive "maingate" hotels and cheesy restaurants along with the souvenir shops is just not what I was wanting. I found allstar excellent, I guess I just I assumed our house would be a little nicer. Acadia looks nicer and we were in windsor palms not windsor hills. I have found some other communities that I think are a little nicer, but the 192 location is very convient. Thanks for all the feedback.
