will you see Farenheit 9/11?

Will you see Farenheit 9/11?

  • Yep, I'll be there as soon as it opens!

  • I want to see it sometime for sure

  • I will see it to "know thine enemy" as it were

  • I wouldn't dream of spending my hard earned money on such tripe!

is a far cry from:"What's your source?"

Not really, since there is no credible evidence as of yet that there was any truth to that ridiculous post. Since Dawn does this sort of thing CONSTANTLY, I think I can be forgiven for not asking as nicely as you'd like me to.

Peachgirl-where can I find your "No W" signature ornament?
I'd like to have one too!
thanks!

The Guardian's article from 6/17 states; "Meanwhile in the United Arab Emerites the film is being offered the kind of support it doesn't need. According to Screen International, the UAE based distributor of Front Line Entertainment has been contacted by organizations related to Hezbollah in Lebanon with offers to help". Why this doesn't seem credible to you, frankly puzzles me.
Why wouldn't organizations related to Hezbollah want to promote a Bush Bashing film?

I don't understand what is so notorious about this. "Offers of help" could be help with financing, making contacts, distribution or shipping help, contract help... anything. I think way more is being read into this than is there.

If there was anything at all to this one or two sentences, why doesn't the Guardian provide it? Why hasn't any other media outlet picked up on this? Answer: there's NOTHING there. No smoke, no fire, no story.

I wouldn't describe it as "notorious" but I don't understand why it isn't "believable" that a terrorist organization wouldn't delight the marketing of this movie in the UAE and elsewhere. Does an offer have to be explicit to be actual? I don't think so. The story to me is, this is who Michael Moore appeals to.

Just because you think something is believable doesn't mean it's true.

Btw, still waiting for a credible source....

There you go again! Organizations RELATED TO does not equate to "a terrorist organization." I have a friend who has relatives in the Mafia, so he is related to people in the Mafia. That doesn't make HIM a Mafioso because of the relationship.

And as said before, they offered help, but alas, that vaunted icon of journalistic integrity, the Guardian, fails to offer any explanation or elaboration into exactly what this help is supposed to be. Gee, could it be help in contacting theatres? Help clearing customs? Contracts?

This "story" amounts to a grain of sand and you're trying to make us think there's a beach here. I'm not buying it ... since there is no evidence, substantial or otherwise to support it and there's no other media covering or reporting it. Face it -- this wasn't even a blip on the radar.

Please don't hold your breath. I did a search on this using several search sites ... the two sentences in the Guardian is the only instances I can find.

I realize that mighty oaks start as little acorns, but this isn't even a sliver of shell from an acorn.
