will you see Farenheit 9/11?

Will you see Farenheit 9/11?

  • Yep, I'll be there as soon as it opens!

  • I want to see it sometime for sure

  • I will see it to "know thine enemy" as it were

  • I wouldn't dream of spending my hard earned money on such tripe!

Because for Moore truth is relative based on his current agenda. I can't wait for the day when all his followers wake up and realize he's been lying to them all along.

I know I'm wasting my time, but have you got anything, anything at all to back up that ridiculous statement?

You might want to put a smilie up when you post something that isn't true, otherwise someone might compare you to Michael Moore...you know, saying things that aren't true just to further your own agenda?????

Actually I heard it on the radio this morning and the television last night. If I have time I will look for a link. I don't think you will find it on the CBS evening news however. It doesn't meet their agenda.

Now that you've seen the link, I assume Dawn can expect an apology, right?

It would have been so easy for you to go to google.com and put in the words Hezbollah and Michael Moore to verify its authenticity. Your time would not have been wasted, unlike what you've now done to your credibility.

;)

Exactly, I would expect to only find it on a site where it does fit their agenda. How surprising.

Actually, since I didn't post the "information", it's not my job to prove it's true. Pray tell, how is my credibility wasted because I'd like for her to post sources when she spouts this stuff off?

Btw, I'm not familiar with The Guardian Website, apparently based in the UK??? At any rate, from what little I've had the time to look at it, at first glance it hardly appears to be an independent source.

For instance, in the link provided it says this:

the website wwwmooreliescom is out "to expose America's fakest pseudo-muckraker".

That wouldn't seem to me to be an unbiased report. Actually sounds to me like they have a huge ax to grind.

And yes, I'd like to see MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC or even a NEWS story from Faux news about this. I expect Dawn was overdosing on Rush this morning.....

So let me get this straight...peachgirl asked a poster for a link to a statement they made, a poster who is know to have a VERY definite agenda, a poster who has in the past put quotes around something that was not a direct quote, and peachgirl is the one whose credibility is in question....just for asking for proof......meaning one cannot ever question another with out the questioner's credibility being damaged? .....sounds screwed up to me, but hey.....hope everyone remembers that rule the next time they ask for a link. Ask away, but apparently be prepared to be branded for it.

Peachgirl ... are you sitting down???? ;)

I am agreeing with peachgirl. I read this article from the Guardian and despite the headline, this is the total content they provide:
According to Screen International, the UAE-based distributor Front Row Entertainment has been contacted by organisations related to the Hezbollah in Lebanon with offers of help.
"Organizations related to Hexbollah ... offers of help." :earseek: Now that is a hot, smoking gun if I ever saw one. Since they are contacting the distributor, I wonder if those offers of help are for foreign distribution in Arab/Islamic countries? And that would be incredibly terrible because ...

I am no fan of Mr. Moore and I would love to see this film crash and burn at the box office. But I went to google.com and did a search of Hezbollah & Michael Moore and couldn't come up with anything other than this one sentence.

I don't believe peachgirl owes anyone an apology ... all she asked for was some independent verification of the allegation. This is a fairly common request, usually made of "liberals" by "conservatives" on the DIS. In this case, however, it looks like someone is creating a mountain out of a speck of dirt.

This is as good a time as any to tell you that, despite all the times we have disagreed, I have a great deal of respect for you and your posts.

Now back to your regular scheduled debate.

Well, I am now!!;)

Thanks for providing that portion of the article. I fell for the age old trick of sidetracking the issue and forgot to address the facts of the argument.

I'm trying to do better....:D

Not to worry... I was somewhat tempted by the suggestion to Google the alleged connection, so I did. When nothing came up on page after page, I went back to read the article. I was amazed that the sentence was buried (!) in the next to last paragraph and that's all there was. No further explanation; no clarification; no elaboration. Just a drive-by assertion with no foundation, no facts.

Like I said, I am no fan of Mr. Moore, but ridiculous allegations like this are just not playing fair.
BUT....We will NOT be doing another one of those group hugs...k?:)
Too late -- :grouphug:

OK ... we got that over with. OK, Faithinkarma and peachgirl ... back to your corners and I'm headed back to mine. Let's make this a clean fight ... ;)

Now, I love a good "connect the dots" story as much as anyone, but I find this hard to believe and hvae not seen any credible validation of this anywhere.

is a far cry from:

"What's your source?"

But lambast as you desire. However, in regards to the Guardian statement, I do agree that to connect those dots would probably require a very long line.
