7:15 ressie at 1900 Park Fare. But want to make it over to the Poly to catch the electric water pageant at 9:00. Kids want to see it from Poly beach, play on the beach.
I'm thinking 7:15, get seated by 7:30 - finish dinner 8:30 - and have a half hour to get the monorail and loop it all the way around over to the Poly. Seems kinda tight to me. Any thoughts?

I tried to move the dinner up earlier, but nothing available. Will show up early, hopefully get seated earlier. I guess worst case if running late we could head out to the GF dock to see it at 9:15.

You can walk from GF to the Polynesian - or take the boat if it's running. I'd take the boat.

1900 is a buffet so you can eat as fast as you like. The sticking point will be whether all of the characters have gotten around to you by the time you want to leave. The GF has a beach too and you can see the water pageant really well. You can decide while you're there whether you want to leave to get to the Poly in time or just stay at the GF

Let me tell you about 1900 PF...we had 7:15 ressies on Jan 21. We arrived at 6:50. We were not seated until after 8pm and I was furious. Turns out that alot of the other diners that were seated earlier were done eating but just not leaving, they wanted to see the characters again. That ticked me off but there was nothing the staff could do since they do not ask guests to leave when they are done eating and the bill is paid.

So we waited and the characters were great but the food was sooooo bad, I mean just terrible stuff and we all left hungry.

If you do want to eat at 1900 PF I would try and get something earlier but if it were me I would go to GFC instead.

Just my 2 cents :)

Oh No...I was planning on eating at 1900 PF for dinner since we are staying at the GF. I heard the characters at dinner is great and I heard the food was pretty good too. What did you have that was bad?

The only good thing was the desserts.....click on my Jan link for a full review and buffet pics.

Most restaurants are going to those that liked it and those that did not. If you want to try 1900 go and make your own decision. We liked H&V dinner, many hate it. Same is true of Mama Melrose. If I'd listened to those posts my family would not have had the pleasure of a Fantasmic package, and that would have been ashame to miss.

OP - sounds like the suggestion of watching the EWP from GF is the best plan. Kids get to play on the beach, see the pageant and you won't have to rush or hustle. We saw the EWP from the deck at Narcoossee's, excellent viewing so I can vouch for a "GF" view. Only those eating at Narcoossee's can use that deck, its part of the venue.

We've had this happen to us too. All it takes is one or two groups of people to hang around wanting a second visit from the characters and that encourages more groups to hang around. Pretty soon, the dining room is stacked with people that have been there for two hours and people with ressies are kep waiting long past their arrival time. But on the other hand, we "dined" almost two hours at Chef Mickeys in the back dining area hoping to have Mickey and/or Minnie come by before we finally gave up and left after only having two characters drop by (and they lost our pictures taken before we entered the dining area!). So we have been on both sides!

But the food was good!

thanks for the replies.
We've eaten there before, and thought the food was fine. It's our first night, so figured we'll all be starving and that buffet would be best choice to be seated and have instant access to food instead of somewhere waiting for it to be served to us.
Just am hoping we get seated pretty close to our ADR time. We eat pretty quick but yeah, have found many times we're finished but still waiting for the characters to come around in places.
anyway.... so we can see the EWP from GF's beach? didn't know if there was a nice view of it from there. Other option someone posted was to take a boat to the Poly. Do the boats from MK to GF and Poly - is it one boat from MK that stops and drops off at GF first and then makes its way to the Poly? If that's the case, then makes sense, get the boat at GF and hop on it for the trip to Poly. I guess worst case we'll watch it from the boat dock at GF, then let the kids go play on the GF beach for a tiny bit - or watch it from the beach at GF if there is a good view of the parade from there. Also... wishes is at 9 that night, so would be nice to get a decent view of that, too.

You should be able to see Wishes from GF too, that is what the deck at Narcoossee's is primarily used for.

Yes.

It is a small launch-type boat that picks up at the dock alongside Narcoosees. (No reason why the fireworks wouldnt' be visible from the dock either). The launch runs from MK to GF to Polynesian and back to MK.

I do not know if they run after dark though. I know boats run after dark but I am not so sure about the small ones.
