Never done ANY character meals before. Have ressies for Crystal Palace on 1/6 to celebrate DS's birthday at 5:30pm. Spectro starts at 6:30pm. Seems like this is cutting it close. So, should I change (or try to) my ressies for CP to an earlier time, or should I just see Spectro another day? (it's scheduled two more times while we're there.) Any suggestions would be helpful!!

You could possibly make it to see Spectro that night, but you'd also have to be watching the clock the whole time you're at dinner. And ... you're also assuming that you'll be seated exactly at 5:30pm ... which may not happen. PS times are not in stone -- you could be seated a few minutes early or a few minutes late.

I'd say either bump up the PS time, or see Spectro another night. That will allow you to fully enjoy both!

Might just be my luck but EVERY ps we haveever had
we have been seated at least 10 minutes late

i would try to reschedule if i could

Based on the fact that you have to get a decent spot well before the parade, I don't think you'll enjoy both your dinner and the parade unless you space them out a little more.

A Priority Seating is not a reservation. When you check in about 5 minutes prior to your seating time, you will wait for the next available table for a party of your size. This often means that you may wait 5-10 minutes for a table. That is not bad luck, and it's not someone being mean to you. It's the way the system is supposed to work.

I agree with the other posters. We went recently (family of 3) and we were in there for around an hour. So..even if you are seated at 5:30 you will probably finish around 6:30. Then...it will be tough to get a good spot for the parade. We usually eat a late lunch there A. it is cheaper and the food is pretty much the same B. it covers both our lunch and dinner. You definitly want to have time to enjoy the meal though, it takes a little for all of the characters to circulate to your table.

Keep your reservation and show up extra early (like 45 minutes early) ask how long it will be of a wait. If they have an available table they should seat you. We showed up for our breakfast seating at cinderellas royal table 45 minutes early and got right in

hey there!
We had dinner at the Crystal Palace right after Wishes on New Year's Eve. I found that dinner lasted a bit longer than I had expected because of all of the characters (Pooh and Co.) roaming from table to table, as this initially distracted us tremendously. I assumed that we had to "grab" the closest character and take a quick photo op but discovered that the characters come to every table in a specific order. Our dinner took approx. 1 1/2 hours. So, if you can't change the PS, then I recommend you concentrate on your meal, and let the characters come to you. Don't get distracted for time is valuable in your case. However, I don't think you will be able to get good viewing locations ifyou take up the entire hour (which you will). Of course, my number 1 recommendation would be to change the PS to an earlier time or eat afterwards. G'luck!!
