Will we hate it?

If it meant extra time in the parks, I would do that in a heartbeat. It apparently isn't a question of how does it compare with a deluxe. It's a question of how does it compare with going home sooner.

I would do POFQ or even price out Swan/Dolphin which typically prices out like a mod. Make sure to factor in transportation to MCO if you book Swan/Dolphin.

Stayed at All Stars my entire life it's not as bad/small people make it out to be. If you've ever stayed at a Quality Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. it is the same. Some people mind the double beds, my family doesn't.

In my opinion, the jump from value to moderate is much larger than the jump from moderate to deluxe. So, for me, to go from a deluxe to a value would be a very big jump. The beds are doubles instead of queens and the sheets don't seem as comfortable, either. I also don't find them to be as relaxing. If it was at the beginning of the trip, that would be one thing. However, going from a deluxe to a a value at the end would not be the best decision, I think. If possible, I'd look into POFQ (actually, I'd look at any of the moderates first as POFQ is my least favorite) instead.
Oh so true! I can still remember staying at my first moderate, POR, after our stays at ASM and All Star Sports. I and the rest of my family were blown away with the "jump" in the styles of the resorts.

I would definitely do a mod like POFQ over a value. I think going from staying in a deluxe to a value would be hard. I would also try to change it so you are staying in the mod the first part of the trip and ending with the deluxe.

It wouldn't be bad to share a double with my husband.

But I couldn't imagine my son sharing a double with someone, unless it was his wife. :crowded:

Adding that we have stayed at POFQ and we really enjoyed the resort. And it was right after a stay at the Floridian.

haha yes exactly, my boys are teens so im sure it would lead to lots of elbowing and pushing each other over haha

Yes! The 2 Port Orleans Resorts are the only resorts on property with this perk (unless you could Yacht Club and Beach Club sharing Stormalong Bay). If you stay at either Port Orleans Resort, you are welcome to use both pools. Nice perk because I do think that the pool at French Quarter is better than Riverside.

awesome! Thank you! I was trying to look at pictures. It looked like Riverside pool was bigger. Was that just the pictures or no? is there a pool bar at French quarter too?

thank you. Unfortunately we cant change the dates around. We have the 7 nights booked with a promo and friends are meeting us that week. Then we decided to add on a few nights at the end. Due to our jobs we cant go down earlier and need to extend at the end of the trip

Agreed haha! We wont want to extend to another deluxe but could do the moderate for the little extra is it was worth it. We just want to keep costs down to extend

Oh i didnt even think of those! Im surprised they are Moderate priced. I will look. Thank you. We have a car so no airport transport needed :)

Thank you. I think we will try one on our next trip and see what we think. Ill do it when im not going right from a deluxe to a value the next night. Maybe my opinion wont be as skewed then.

The All Stars are the same way, sister resorts.

Make sure you factor in the cost of parking every night at Swan/Dolphin when you are running the numbers, it's not included. It's around $20 per night.

If we get the chance to do that we always start with the moderate like POFQ (which we love anyway) and switch it up to something like AKL or Poly. This time we are doing just that...POFQ for 10 days and moving to AKL for 4 days. I don't think you will go wrong whatever you chose...we just like to leave with a bang! lol
