We have 2 adults and 2 children staying in a 1 BR at BCV. Will we feel cramped? I tried to get a 2 Br but was told 2 of the days we requested were not available in a 2 br, so we downgraded the whole week to a 1 BR.

My kids are 12 and 9 and we did not feel cramped in the 1 bedroom. Enjoy!:thumbsup2

We did this when our kids were 10 and 6. We didn't feel cramped, but they wouldn't sleep on the bed together, so we also had an air mattress.

Have a good trip-

We've stayed with 4 adults in a 1 br and weren't cramped!

Hey look at it as saving points by staying in the one bedroom. I am sure you all will be just fine.

Thanks everybody! I feel much better now. My kids are 7 and 4, so it sounds like we'll be fine:thumbsup2 .

When we have a full room, OKW is my choice because of the room. If your kids are younger, you should be fine. If they are teens and need the bathroom space and refuse to sleep together, it might be a bit unlivable. However, all you have to do is ask which one wants to stay home on this trip.

Have the other adult sleep in the bath tub. That's where my DW puts me when she wants more room. :lmao:

Yeah, good idea! Usually what ends up happening is I sleep with DD4, and DH sleeps with DS7. Otherwise they wake each other. All I know is, I'm sleeping in that king size bed!

My kids are 6 and 4 and we just did a week at VB in a 2BR with three guests... (Making a total of 7...)

We then moved to BCV in a Studio for another week with just the four of us... While the studio was a bit smaller than we were used to, everything worked out fine...

We've done this with our kids. When the pull out is out in the living room, their isn't exactly a lot of room to move around. We pop the pullout back in as soon as the kids get up - its a little extra work, but not a huge deal. You also only have one bathroom, but that also isn't a huge deal with young kids to us.

Generally, I'm first up and get through the shower (after pushing start on the coffee maker). Once I'm dressed, my husband moves towards the shower and I start dragging the kids out of bed (not too hard at Disney) - they get dressed in the master bedroom while their dad is in the shower, and I pop the hideabed in. Then we have a quick breakfast.

My kids bathe or shower in the evenings only if they need to (which isn't every night) and I pull out the hideabed only when we are ready to settle in. Then the grownups move to the master bedroom or balcony - sometimes with a to go cup from the hotel bar.

We do the same thing as Crisi. As long as the hide-a-bed is put up we have plenty of room.

From my experience, I think if you are used to a 2BR then you will feel the difference. Not saying it's not do-able, just different.

We are a family of 4 that stays in a 2br. Did a long weekend in May & opted for the 1BR @ OKW in order to save points. Did the air mattress thing since heaven forbid DS13 & DS9 sleep together.

Let's just say DS9 & I would be happy sleeping on a bench as long as we were in the world. DH & DS13, not so much.

I'm sure you'll have a great time!

We've done this many times and made out just fine. But this is a subjective opinion and really depends on the amount of personal space family members require. For us it works, but I'm sure there are others who find it uncomfortable.

DD 10, DS 5, DD 2, DW, & me had a great trip. 1 bedroom is room to run around. Studio is room to sit or sleep. 2 bedroom is bring the family.:rotfl2:
