Will we be spoiled forever?

DD and I just returned from a lovely stay at PORS. We have been fortunate enough to stay at CBR (1x), POFQ (3x), and PORS (4x). Before getting "real" jobs, it was always off site.

Now we're planning a trip for November or December. It will be me, DH (who only comes occasionally), and DD (who will have just turned 9 by then). DD and I would like to upgrade for at least part of our next trip to try Poly or Wilderness Lodge. I've always figured that we spend most of our times at the parks, so why spend the extra money for accommodations. And the moderates have been great. I'm basically a conservative spender although we could afford the deluxe.

Will we be forever spoiled? Should I split a stay? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Although I thought WL was beautiful, we had stayed at POR before, and chose to go back to POR. We love visiting WL, walking around the lobby, but after 3 stays there, always thinking "It's so beautiful we should give it another try", we'd choose POR. It seems there's more "bang for the buck" in the rooms. And in our experience the CMs have always been nicer-the CMs at WL (at least the ones we've been unfortunate enough to encounter) seem to have the attitude "we work at the Beautiful WL. You're so fortunate to stay here, we don't have to be nice." CMs at POR have always gone out of their way a little more to be nicer. Now I'm sure that my experience isn't at all like everyone's. Excuse me while I go hide under a table for the MANY people who disagree with me.

I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club & most recently, the Polynesian, but have also stayed at the All-Stars & POFQ (LOVE this resort). I have split my stays between POFQ & BC or POFQ & WL and was fine staying at the other resorts. My recent stay at the Polynesian was because the CB was closed due to renovations. I've been happy staying at all of them and although it was great staying at the Polynesian, I'm just as excited about staying back at POFQ in October.

I also have stayed at CBR and POR, always loved both places.

With a great AP rate this year we stayed at the Poly. I am forever spoiled. Love this resort. There is nothing like being on the monorail line.

Everything about this resort is special. I've asked my Grandchildren where they would like to stay next year. Maybe AKL, their answer was Poly without even a blink. I guess they loved it as much as I did.

Hoping for a good code or it back to a moderate. As much as I loved this resort I need a great rate to justify the stay.

No you won't be spoiled. We bounce from resort to resort and we never complain or regret where we're staying. Sometimes we go just to be in Disney World, and sometimes we want to spoil ourselves. We stay at the All Stars in the Spring because the cost is so low that we can stay for 2 weeks instead of 1 at a delux, great incentive. We like to stay at the deluxes when the weather is cooler, mostly because we spend more time there and the hot tub. We like to stay at Dixie landing in the fall, well because it's fall and the landscaping is beautiful. We choose our resorts by the season, weather, crowds, kids. I won't stay at the all stars in the summer because of the tour groups, but you'll find me there just about any other time. This year our May trip is at the All Star Music, our Summer trip is at the Contemporary, our pin trading/September trip is as the A/S Movies (needed 2 rooms), and our October trip is at Dixie Landing. We love all Disney resorts and each one has it's pros and cons. We love WL and AKL too, but couldn't get into either this year at a CM discount during our timeframes. I'm always happy to be in WDW and as long as I'm on property, I'm happy.

I say No. Because have done the opposite of you. We always stayed at deluxe and just stayed at the POR. We really enjoyed our stay there and didn't feel let down at all so I say go for it, change and trying new things is good! lol.

Thanks for your help. I think we might try a deluxe for our upcoming trip. I think I'll always love POR, and can always go back there.
