Will this trip ever get off the ground? - Jan 2012 PTR - TOMORROW - 1/5!!!

I'd like to start with the day after I bought the Southwest tickets the poitns went down and I was able to get points refunded for our flight back. Our flight home unfortunantly was lower, but the time I got someone who could help it was higher so no refund of points there yet!

But in BIGGER news!

:dance3:b booked her flight!:dance3:

37 days until we are all together! Her flight lands Saturday at 9pm so she is putting the timeshare rental in my name so I can check in and I was thinking of hitting up the grocery store and go shopping so we don't have to after picking her up at MCO.

Awesome news about the January flights! I just love Southwest, if only for their no change fee policy!

And I am so happy to hear that B has finally bought tickets! Now you can look forward to the trip with a bit more relaxed feeling!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Glad this finally worked out.

Yeah, its been a rough couple of days with my Disney flight for January getting all messed up and having to rebook and everything else. So I'm glad to know she is for sure making it down. Now to figure out what's going on with my friend who actually only lives an hour away!

:dance3::yay::woohoo::yay::dance3:

HOORAY for B booking her flight!!! I know that eases your mind!

How's your training going??

I am sorry I have not been around the last few days. What amazing news! I am so glad B finally got her tickets. And...on the flight change, it looks like it is a perfectly timed flight!!! :woohoo:

Its okay and understandable with what's been going on there! I took photos of the tie dyed shirts so you could see them. Now to get them online. Hopefully this weekend. 91 days until our ME trip!

:worried: Ummm..... well we haven't at all this week. :sad2: Maybe we'll start up again next week.:confused3

I hear you! I'm still training and enjoying the running but I'm getting more and more skeptical about the trip in Feb. happening like I hoped that it would.

So I woke up this morning and checked southwest. The flights going down to FL in January dropped overnight from $179 to $99! So I tried to change flights to get the points back, but it wasn't letting me because I had someone help me change my points on the flight back up.

So I called and they refunded my points and credited me back my $5 so I could rebook at the lower points. About a half an hour later after struggling to find both confirmation numbers since they aren't jointly listed on my RR page :confused3 (I booked them both with my RR points shouldn't they be listed there?) I noticed a big glaring mistake I couldn't believe I did!

:scared1:

I booked us to fly to MCO on the 6th (1st flight of the am) and booked us to fly out the last flight on the 8th!:scared1::eek::scared1::mad: So I had to look up each reservation number and this time it worked online to let me change to the 15th on the last flight of the day. So I now have each leg of the trip booked for $99 and no more messing with it unless I see it go to $79 each way! I now have over half of the rapid rewards bonus points for my $12 purchase left.

But I also have to call Chase because I have yet to receive the 30k points for opening up the card!

Oh my... what a :headache::confused3 I am glad you got it straightened out!

With so many people mentioning that they are seeing their flight with SW go down, I am going to really have to watch it. So far they are up over what I paid.

And as far as the chase/sw thing. I too got the card so that I would have points available. I was just on the verge of calling chase myself. I figured it had to be one full billing cycle, but when that happened and on the chase site it did not note I had any points... I was getting concerned. They just showed up in my SW RR account. So, if you are like me and were watching your chase account to see the rewards (I also have a DV which is through chase and I can see how many disney rewards I have on the site) then maybe look at SW.

I found out that the bonus points hit my Southwest account (same day I booked the tickets the first time) 50K but I still have not seen the 30K points that were promised with signing up!

Ok I was a little confused. Now, I'm subscribing to this one.

Ya'll's airfare savvy (there's some oklahoma slang for you :goodvibes) keeps me confused on a daily basis. I'm certain I'm one of those less frequent fliers who makes up the difference for those that diligently seek good deals. :rotfl:

Haa haa haa! I don't blame you being confused! I haven't gotten one trip under my belt and I'm already planning 2 or 3 other ones, plus I keep tinkering with the plans.

I just hate feeling like I paid too much for anything. I watched airfares for each trip and bought at what I felt was the lowest price or knew I could get a refund for the difference. I just thought the Southwest credit card was too good a deal. I have three airports within about an hour that they fly out of and I knew I would use the points if I had to, I just never thought they flew out of CT. So its like almost flying free!

Here's my photos of the shirts I made with help with the directions from DISigns. A few hints I learned.... Put the rubber band really tight over the floss and a bit further down. It outlines the Mickey Head. Even if you think you got all the dye into the folds, chances are you didn't.

Awesome job on the shirts!

You are quick today! You must be feeling more like yourself. My friend who is going with me in December is heading down to Disney at the end of the week. Maybe you guys will bump into each other! She's going with a big group to celebrate a honeymoon. Odd I know.
