That is kinda funny... but a typical mom I guess.

Here is the story of how the January trip came to be:
It started a few weeks before my aunt and cousin came to visit me in April. I asked my aunt at that time if she thought my cousin would like to go. I got a reaction of "Yep, she would like that." Kind of hard to talk about it in front of her being that its a surprise.
But let's rewind....way back when our families would take each other's kids on trips, I was thinking about how it stopped before she got to go anywhere, acutally it stopped a couple cousins before her, but one moved and has a kid, and the other is her brother who is always busy.
She hasn't had the easiest life (probably easier than some, but not as easy as me) she started off at a two year community college, then applied for a four year school and is working to get a degree to become a teacher, while all this is going on she is also working part time. She had to work hard to get all the paperwork and everything in line to get financial aid to even continue in school. At the same time her mom lost her job back in 2009 and her dad lost his job this year after returning to work from breaking his ankle in two places. They live in Western MA so they have had to honestly deal with two tornadoes, the effects of the earthquake and the hurricane. Sounds like a rough year!
She should be graduating in June 2012 (but I didn't want to go to Disney during the summer), so I was thinking her Spring Break then I looked at the crowd calendar (not so much!), so I decided to take her during her winter break to celebrate finishing college, her birthday (Feb), and she just got promoted to store manager (or something like that).
The Disney part is a no brainer when she updates her facebook with Disney stuff, is jealous I have gone, and talked about seeing Mickey light poles driving in FL. All she knows is that we are going somewhere on a plane and the dates. I've sent her an eye mask, water bottle with filter, and a wind up butterfly. Oh and about 100 pieces out of a 300 piece puzzle. I'm sure there are more reasons why I decided to do this for her, but this is all off the top of my head.
I'm hoping I can make the trip magical for her.

Yeah, she is now thinking fly in from seattle, fly out to LAX and then drive back to seattle. I'm not sure why, but hopefully she bought tickets last night.
I'm going to keep a log of how we did here so you can just check back at any time.
Run #1 (8/30) - 5 min warm up, 30 min run (5/55 spilt), 5 min cool down - 2.25 miles
Run #2 (9/01) - 5 min warm up, 30 min run (5/55 spilt), 5 min cool down - It didn't measure, we think we went further. It eventually started counting on our loop back and said we went 1.37 miles in 28 minutes which isn't right because we turn around at 20 minutes and it does not show our loop. So maybe 2.74 miles?
Run #3 (9/03) - 5 min warm up, 3 mile run (5/55 spilt), 5 min cool down -
Awesome! Good luck on your run tomorrow!
Explain to me this character greet after the marathon?!? I'm so unknowledgeable about what happens on race day - perks for the runners, etc?

Did we hear whether or not tickets were bought?
