Will this trip ever get off the ground? - Jan 2012 PTR - TOMORROW - 1/5!!!

Was it Kira or Zoe who asked? We are looking at taking a flight that gets up to MCO at 9:30pm, then we are headed to Pop, and if time allows going to Epcot cause its open until 12:30am. (We're both AP so we don't care if its only for an hour!)

Saturday - I'm thinking HS - my one chance to see the Osborne Lights

Sunday - All Day MK! CP at 8:30am until MVMCP ends at midnight! I hope I have the energy!

Monday - Epcot until ME picks us up around 3:30pm

But..... same resort and same MVMCP!

So we have booked our flights home from MCO for December. I cashed in the FF miles with Delta I know Delta that I got for booking my trip in January with them and opening up a card so I got free luggage. Once again I know Delta . We are departing MCO on Monday the 12th at 6:10pm for a grand total of $71.40 for two tickets!

For the flight down we are considering two flights:
Flight #1 - Air Tran (are they good? Never flown them before) but they leave 2 hours before flight #2.

Flight #2 - Jet Blue. I Jet Blue! I mean personal TVs keeps me distracted.

Flight #1 will get us down to see Ann and possibly get into Epcot since they are open until 12:30am. Flight #2 gets us to the resort after midnight.

As far as our plans:

Friday Night - Fly down, ME to Pop, check in, drop bags off and run to Epcot if we can still get in.

Saturday - EMH in HS, then over to AK, lunch and Jingle Jammin' Parade, then back to HS to see Osborne Dancing Lights, follwed by DTD shopping and dinner at Earl of Sandwich.

Sunday - Pre-park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace in MK, MK until ?, then Resort hopping for decorations, then Epcot, and back to MK for MVMCP

Monday - Epcot for whatever we missed until we have to leave to catch ME.

Yes its a packed weekend!

First, on getting the flight back. I don't see anything wrong with Delta...

Second, on the flight down. I still have yet to change mine to the 9th. I will though.. but.. if you can get a better flight for yourself on Jet blue... then don't wait on me. Plus, I think it is the nicer of the two airlines. However, I think airtran is just like SW... so doable. Plus, getting to mco sooner.. possibly seeing me and going to EMH at Epcot.

Well the difference between the two flights is $4 and two hours. I just have a feeling times are going to change or something since there are only two flights leaving MCO for here on Delta.

Half the reason I'm pro the Air Tran choice is the chance of us being stuck on the ME together for 45 minutes and giving you a chance to talk to someone other than your family. Haa haa haa. We will have to make plans this trip to see each other, at least do a better job of knowing we're both there than we did in September. I can't believe we were in building across from each other and never noticed one another! But then again Su-Lyn and I were in the same parks on the same day doing about the same things and never ran into each other.

I booked my flight down today!

When we last left off Air Tran had the better flight, but was $4 more expensive. After some kayak like searches multiple times a day after deciding on going December, I feel like I hit the jackpot today.

Air Tran for my flight went down from $138 to $107!!!! I booked it right away and texted my friend's wife who is going as well to tell her to book, but I haven't heard back from her yet.

Hopefully she can get the same deal! I'm feeling pretty good about this December trip!

I'm now kicking myself for booking our flight back first. Delta dropped the price from $135 to $112. I could have had more Disney $. On the plus side our January trip would have cost more money.

So my younger (and only) sister is getting married next year. She got engaged before Thanksgiving 2010 and the wedding is in June 2012. I know I should be like all but I'm feeling more like . At first she was going to have myself and her best friend be bridesmaids, then she was thinking about adding a couple friends, then she nixed the couple of friends (they could just do readings), then she came up with the idea I would stand with her, her best friend can marry them, and her other friends can do the readings.

Seems simple enough right?

Other than the day and place, nothing else is planned out, she doesn't know when she wants it to start, what types of flowers, what her colors are, she has her dress but only her and my mom saw it. It makes me very probably also because I like plans. Ummm hello, don't we all, that's why we are on here?

Now she has this plan that my mom, her best friend, and the two friends doing readings should wear blue dresses and I should wear a red or pink dress. Personally, this makes no sense to me why would you have readers match your wedding and everyone else in the same color palette and stick me in something that goes with nothing else? It gets me frustrated. I know its not my wedding, but I can see the photo of my sister in her wedding dress, five blue dresses and one red dress. I don't see it working.

I'm just going to push this annoyance to the back of my mind and try to focus on other things, since I'm hoping she'll change her mind a million more times before the wedding.

Well I think part of the problem is that my sister and I aren't really close. We barely see eachother. She lives in TX now from Brooklyn and Vermont before that. I saw her once in Brooklyn, and every time she came up to Boston she stayed with her best friend and would visit me for dinner. We talk only on each other's birthdays. I'm not saying we don't like each other, we just don't keep in contact enough to know each other. We made a deal back years ago we'd be each other's maids of honor cause we were tired of all the other cousins being picked to be in weddings over us. Little did we know then that we would have friends to ask us to be in their weddings. Man life was simplier then. Tomorrow I'll have to explain the whole other set of headaches I have because of the October trip!

It has been awhile since we did an update about the trip for October and being that its less than TWO MONTHS away, it seems fitting.

Cast:
Myself - I'm flying down after work on Friday, staying at Pop for one night, because the time share doesn't start until Saturday. Leaving Saturday night

g - Lives in FL about an hour away. Last time I talked (IM) to him he was still roaring to go, this was a month ago.

b - Lives in Seattle, WA. Hoping to get transferred somewhere warmer, but if she stay in Seattle for a couple more years I'll have time to visit her and see Ann, but then again I get to see Ann in December. She DOES NOT have a flight purchased yet.

??? - First was a friend of mine j, then b's BF, then no one, then we asked b's sister, then we asked a friend from college.

So we've gone from five people to now three people in a 2 Bedroom at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

I've made reservations for CP for breakfast, but I'm not sure who else is going other than myself.

b tells me to plan whatever. I'd like to do the Halloween Party on Tuesday, but we still don't know who is going.

I'm sort of annoyed since we started planning to go last October and set up the Timeshare Search in January or February. I can understand b's BF not going (they broke up) but I'm getting tired of making plans and people not showing up!

I told b last month to buy her tickets when I found flights for $240 rt from Seattle with a stop both ways, but lots of great flights to choose from. And she didn't. I'm scared she is going to see flight prices now and back out leaving myself and g being the only ones in a 2 Bedroom Unit. Oh, and don't worry BF isn't going to make a 4th even if I promise he can stay by the pool the entire time.

I do understand to a degree.... my dh I swear... he won't talk to me about our December trip. He tells me I have "traumatized him" with all my Disney talk... but as he has NO vacation time.. I am just not sure how it will work. I worry that come November I will be in the very same boat as you.. not knowing exactly who is coming with me.

I hope your friend from Seattle gets her flight soon. Fares are in such a constant state of flux... I agree... I would hate for her to see it on a "higher" day and then bail.

OH... and if you do come to Seattle to see B... PLEASE let me know. I would love to see you!!!

What's also frustrating is that usually I see her on facebook every day. I haven't seen her on in days, so I'm getting worried about her since she said she was having a hard time dealing with the break up and one of her kitties has been sick and having seizures. Last week when we talked she emailed a mutual friend from college who lives in Denver to see if he wanted to join. So unless that works out, it may just be the three of us!

I hope everything is ok with your friend. If you remember, last labor day I worried about my mother. I didn't know if her husband would pass away just before the trip and she would bail. That uncertainty or worry isn't fun.

I sent her a message yesterday and haven't heard back. Not too surprising. She might just be busy with work and that's why she hasn't been on. But being that I can see each day clicking closer and closer to us going, not having her online is like a BIG deal over something so small and I can't control. Hopefully this is not a sneak peek at how the trip is going to go. One thing is for sure. G has been in Disney with me before (he's a former CM) and knows how I don't stop until the park is closed and start bright and early!
